Ադրբեջանի կողմից օկուպացված Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Հանրապետության տարածքները վաղ թե ուշ վերադարձվելու են Արցախին: Կառավարության նիստից հետո լրագրողների հետ զրույցում նման համոզմունք հայտնեց ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարի տեղակալ Շավարշ Քոչարյանը:
Հարցին, թե միջազգային դիվանագիտական դաշտում ինչպե՞ս է ընկալվում այն, որ ԼՂՀ-ն կորցրել է 800 հեկտար տարածք, փոխարտգործնախարարը պատասխանեց. «Եկեք արձանագրենք, որ Ադրբեջանի կողմից օկուպացված են Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Հանրապետության Մարտունու, Մարտակերտի շրջանի շատ ավելի մեծ տարածքներ, և ուշ թե շուտ այդ տարածքները վերադարձնելու են Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Հանրապետությանը»:
Լրագրողի դիտարկմանը, թե ՀՀ երկրորդ նախագահը, ԼՂՀ պաշտպանության բանակի նախկին հրամանատարը քննադատում են ՀԱՊԿ-ին՝ նշելով, որ Հայաստանը պետք է վերանայի իր հարաբերությունները ՀԱՊԿ-ի հետ, Շավարշ Քոչարյանն արձագանքեց. «Նախ, ես ուշադիր նայել եմ, այնտեղ խոսք չկա այն մասին, որ պետք է վերանայել: Իսկ ինչ վերաբերում է մեր վերաբերմունքին թե՛ ՀԱՊԿ-ին, թե՛ ԵԱՏՄ-ին, ապա վերջին գագաթաժողովը, որը տեղի ունեցավ Աստանայում, այնտեղ Նախագահի ելույթից ամբողջությամբ կարող եք ձեզ համար պարզ պատկերացնել»:
