Իհարկե շատ լավ է, որ Հայաստան-Իրան բարիդրացիական փոխհարաբերությունները շարունակում են զարգանալ, քանի որ մեր հարավային հարևանը մեր կառավարության հետևողական քաղաքականության շնորհիվ կարող է դառնալ առնվազն լուրջ տնտեսական գործընկեր մեզ համար։ Սակայն պետք է քաջ գիտակցել, որ վիզայի ռեժիմի վերացումն իր հետ բերում է մի շարք ռիսկեր, որոնց վրա մեր պետությունը լուրջ ուշադրություն պետք է դարձնի։ 
Նախ բազմիցս է խոսվել այն մասին և, փաստորեն էլ քիչ չեն, որ իրանական անձնագրերով անարգել Հայաստան է մուտք գործում Իրանի հյուսիսում ապրող թուրքալեզու զանգված, նաև Իրանի ադրբեջանցիներ, որոնք, կարծում եմ, վաղուց պետք է լինեին մեր ԱԱԾ-ի ուշադրության կենտրոնում։ Եվ եթե նախկինում ինչ-որ կերպ նրանց վերահսկելու մեխանիզմները շատ էին, ապա հիմա այդ մեխանիզմները թուլանում են, թուլանալու վտանգի տակ են հայտնվում նաև մեր անվտանգության երաշխիքները։ 
Իրանը թմրամիջոցների հայտնի տարանցիկ գոտի է, և Հայաստանի հետ նրա սահմաններն առանց այն էլ ինչ-որ չափով այդ տարանցիկ շղթայի մաս էին դարձնում Հայաստանը, իսկ հիմա այդ վտանգները մեծանում են։ 
Բազմաթիվ իրանցիներ անշարժ գույք, բիզնեսներ ունեն Հայաստանում, հիմա կարող են Հայաստանում մշտական բնակության անցնելու որոշում կայացնել, իսկ մեզ, եթե վերանանք կրոնական և ազգային հանդուրժողականության ձևական տրամադրություններից, չենք կարող ապրել բոլորովին այլ քաղաքակրթական զարգացում ունեղող ժողովուրդների հետ, և առհասարակ, մեր միատարր պետությանը պետք չէ բազմազգ և բազմակրոն նկարագիր, մեզ համար դա կարող է կործանարար լինել։ 
Հայաստան-Իրան վիզայի ռեժիմի վերացման միակն դրական կողմն ավելի շատ դիվանագիտական, քաղաքական ժեստ է, որը լրացուցիչ ջերմություն է հաղորդում երկու երկրների փոխհարաբերություններին, սակայն, իմ խորին համոզմամբ, այդ հարաբերությունները կարող էին զարգանալ առանց այս որոշման էլ։
