«Քառօրյա պատերազմում քաջաբար կռված և ձախ ոտքի ոտնաթաթը կորցրած ժամկետային զինծառայող Արման Ավետիսյանին ասօր երկու ոտքի վրա ամուր կանգնելու հնարավորություն է ընձեռվել:

Արման Ավետիսյանը վիրավորվել էր ապրիլի 2-ին՝ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Հանարպետության հարավային ուղղությամբ տեղակայված զորամասերից մեկի պաշտպանական դիրքում՝ դասակի հրամանատարին օգնության հասնելու ժամանակ:  Նռնակի պայթյունի հետևանքով Արմանը կորցրել էր ձախ ոտնաթաթը, ապա նույն ոտքից հրազենային վիրավորում ստացել:
Արմանը երազում է վերադառնալ նախկին կյանքին: Ժամ առաջ ուզում է մոռանալ այն ամենը, ինչ կապված է մոտ երկու ամիս առաջ տեղի ունեցած իրադարձությունների հետ։
Արման Ավետիսյանը տան միակ զավակն է: Մայրը նրան միայնակ է մեծացրել: Արմանը սոցիալական պայմանների մասին  լռում է, մորն էլ արգելում է այդ մասին բարձրաձայնել: Նրա հորդորով մայրը՝ տիկին Քնարիկը, տեսախցիկի առջև միայն ստացված օգնությունների մասին է խոսում: Տեսախցիկն անջատելուց հետո միայն պարզում ենք, որ բնակարան չունեն, վարձով են բնակվում։ Արմանն ուսանող է եղել, հետո մեկնել է բանակ՝ ծառայության, մայրն էլ մշտական աշխատանք չունի:

Անձնական կյանքի և կարիքների մասին Արմանը լռում է, փոխարենն անդադար խոսում է  զինվորական կյանքի մասին: Նրա խոսքով, զինվորներն ունեն բոլորի օգնության կարիքը: «Ժողովուրդը նեղն ընկած ժամանակն է զինվորին հիշում, դեպքերը հանդարտվում են, ու մեր հանրությունն սկսում է մոռանալ»,- ասում է Արմանը:

Արմանը քառօրյա պատերազմից մնացած թալիսման ունի. հիվանդանոցից դուրս գրվելիս վիրահատող բժիշկը նրան է փոխանցել ոտքից հանված փամփուշտը:»,–գրում է թերթը։
