Ազգային ժողովի փոխնախագահ Էդուարդ Շարմազանովի մանկության երազանքը ֆուտբոլիստ դառնալն է եղել: Ազգային ժողովի այգում երեխաների պաշտպանության միջազգային կապակցությամբ կազմակերպված միջոցառմանը լրագրողների հետ զրույցում Շարմազանովն ընդգծեց, որ իր մանկության տարիներին բոլոր երեխաների երազանքը ֆուտբոլիստ դառնալն էր: «Իմ երազանքն էլ եղ ել է ֆուտբոլիստ դառնալը, սակայն չստացվեց: Իսկ մեր ամենամեծ հիասթափությունն էլ եղել է այն, որ 1985թ. Խորեն Հովհաննիսյանին զրկեցին ֆուտբոլ խաղալուց: Եվ մենք թաղի բոլոր տղաներով լացում էինք, որ այլևս «Արարատ»-ի լեգենդար ավագը հանդես չի գալու»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ նշեց Շարմազանովը:

Ազգային ժողովի փոխնախագահը ցանկանում է, որ մեր օրերում երեխաներն ավելի շատ շփվեն միմյանց հետ: Նրա խոսքով՝ հիմա ավելի շատ iPad-iPhone-ային սերունդ է մեծանում: «Իմ մանկության ժականակ մենք դպրոց գնալուց առաջ ֆուտբոլ էինք խաղում, դպրոցից գալուց էլի պայուսակները մի կողմ էինք դնում ու ֆուտբոլ էինք խաղում: Այն ժամանակ, երբ սիրահարվում էին, միմյանց նամակներ էին գրում, հիմա sms են գրում, մի փոքր անհետաքրքիր է հիմա: Չգիտեմ՝ միգուցե, ամեն ժամանակ իր քաղցրությունն ունի: Բայց կարևորն այն է, որ մարդկայինը գերիշխող լինի, շփումը լինի գերիշխող, փողը երբեք դեÖ € չխաղա»,- ասաց ԱԺ փոխնախագահը:

Հարցին, երեխաների իրավունքները Հայաստանում պաշտպանվա՞ծ են, Շարմազանովը պատասխանեց. «Այո, իհարկե, պաշտպանված են եղել: Հայ ժողովուրդը երեխայի և ծնողի նկատմամբ յուրահատուկ վերաբերմունք ունի: Դա մեր քրիստոնեական արժեհամակարգի հիմքում է: Ես չգիտեմ կա երկրորդ ժողովուրդը, որը երեխային և ծնողին վերաբերվում է այնպես, ինչպես հայ ժողովուրդը»:
