Ռուսաստանը մտադիր չԷ առաջինը հանդես գալ Թուրքիայի հետ հարաբերությունների կարգավորման նախաձեռնությամբ, բայց պատրաստ Է քննարկել Անկարայի համապատասխան դիմումները: Այդ մասին մայիսի 31-ին հայտարարել Է ՌԴ-ի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Սերգեյ Լավրովը, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով ՌԻԱ Նովոստիին:
«Նրանք շատ խիստ տուժում են, ուստիեւ զանազան փակ ուղիներով փորձում են մեզ մոտ սողոսկել եւ առաջարկել ինչ-որ կոմիտեներ ստեղծել, դեռ դեկտեմբերին Թուրքիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարարը, Եվրակազմակերպությունում հընթացս հանդիպելով ինձ, առաջարկեց. «Արի կոմիտե կամ խումբ ստեղծենք. դիվանագետներ, հետախույզներ»,- ասել Է Լավրովը kp.ru-ի կայքի ուղիղ եթերում:
«Մենք երբեք չենք ասել, թե «ձիթենու ճյուղ» կամ ցանկացած այլ ճյուղ կմեկնենք Թուրքիային: Մենք ասել ենք, որ Թուրքիան պարտավոր Է ներողություն խնդրել եւ փոխհատուցել այն կորուստները, որոնք մեզ հասցվեցին ռազմական հանցագործության հետեւանքով® Եվ (ՌԴ-ի նախագահ Վլադիմիր) Պուտինն ասել Է, որ մենք պատրաստ ենք քննարկել (Անկարայի դիմումը), բայց նախ Թուրքիան պետք Է անի այն, ինչ պարտավոր Է անել»,- ասել Է Լավրովը:
