 Հայրենիքի ազատության և խաղաղության համար իրենց կյանքը զոհած մեր զավակների առջև պարտք ունենք` առավել հզորացնելու մեր երկիրն ու պետականությունը, առավել արդյունավորելու մեր միասնական ջանքերը հանուն մեր ժողովրդի առաջընթացի ու բարօրության, մեր իրավունքների պաշտպանության: Այդ մասին նշեց Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Բ Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը` Հանրապետության նախագահի նստավայրում 2016 թվականի ընթացքում մարտական և ոÕ ¹ մարտական պայմաններում զոհված զինծառայողների, կամավորների, աշխարհազորայինների և պահեստազորայինների ընտանիքների անդամներին հետմահու շնորհված պետական բարձրագույն պարգևները հանձնելու արարողության ժամանակ:

 «Խորհրդանշական է, որ հայրենիքի պաշտպան զինծառայողների պարգևաբաշխությունը տեղի է ունենում Հանրապետության տոնին: Հայաստանի առաջին Հանրապետությունը ծնունդ առավ անցյալ դարասկզբին` մեր համազգային պայքարի ու հաղթանակի` Սարդարապատի, Ղարաքիլիսայի, Բաշ-Ապարանի հերոսամարտերի արդյունքում, որոնք մեր պատմության փառապանծ դրվագներից են և վկայությունը` մեր ժողովրդի անսասան հայրենասիրության ու ազգասիրության: Նախնյաց նվիրյալ այս ոգով մեր ժողովրդի զավակները հաղթանակեցին արցախյան ազատամարտում և կերտեցին ԼՂՀ անկախությունը: Հերոսությա ն բացառիկ դրսևորումով մեր քաջարի զինվորներն ապրիլի սկզբին ետ մղեցին Արցախի սահմաններին ողջ երկայնքով ռազմական գործողություններ սանձազերծած Ադրբեջանի հարձակումը: Նրանք մարտնչեցին հաղթանակելու և խաղաղությունը վերահաստատելու անվարան կամքով»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ` ասաց Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը` ավելացնելով, որ մարտերում նահատակված հերոս զավակներն իրենց ծաղկուն կյանքը, պայծառ երազները պարգևեցին հայրենիքին, հարազատ ժողովրդի ազատ ու ապահով կյանքի պաշտպանությանը:

Վեհափառի խոսքով` դժվարին այդ օրերին մեր ժողովուրդն առավել ամրապնդեց իր համախմբվածությունը և վճռականությունը`ի նպաստ հայրենիքն ու մեր պետականությունը պաշտպանելու և զորացնելու: «Այսօր ցավ է բոլորիս համար, որ հերոս զինծառայողներն անձամբ չեն ստանում մարտերում ցուցաբերած արիության համար իրենց շնորհված պարգևները: Սակայն նրանց հոգին, նրանց սխրանքն անմահ է, նրանց փառքը նաև ձերն է` սիրելի ծնողներ, կանայք, ընտանիքի հարազատներ, քանզի դուք եք ոգեշնչել նրանց` մեր հայրենիքի համար լինելու նվիրյալ զավակներ, դուք եք կրթել և ոգեշնչել նրանց` լÕ �նել ազնվահոգի և արիահոգի»,- ասաց Գարեգին Բ.-ն:

Արարողության կապակցությամբ Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսն իր Հայրապետական պատգամը բերեց ներկաներին և աղոթք հնչեցրեց:
