Ներկայացնում ենք թերթի առաջնորդողը հատվածաբար.

«Հայաստանի Առաջին Հանրապետության տարեդարձը պատմական այն օրինակներից մեկն է, որոնց առիթով ամեն անգամ մենք զուգահեռներ ենք անցկացնում մեր այսօրվա իրականության, խնդիրների, մարտահրավերների հետ։ Մյուս կողմից, սակայն, այս զուգահեռները մեզ համար կարծես թե դարձել են իրականությունից փախուստի տարբերակ կամ այդ իրականության համար պատասխանատվությունից որոշակիորեն հեռանալու տարբերակ՝ ամեն մեկս մեր դիրքում, պաշտոնյան պաշտոնում, ընդդիմադիրը՝ ընդդիմությունում, քաղաքացին՝ հասարակությունում։ Բանն այն է, որ իրականության համեմատության եզր դարձնելով անցյայը՝ մենք, ըստ էության, գուցե մեզ համար էլ աննկատ զբաղվում ենք իրականության կեղծումով, իրականությունը ինչ-որ իմաստով նաև պղտոր ջրի վերածելով։

Հայաստանի   երրորդ հանրապետության ներկան չափազանց հարուստ է Առաջին Հանրապետության պատմության հետ համեմատություններով։ Եվ որքան էլ նման են իրականությունները, դերերը և դերակատարները, որքան էլ մեծ է պատճառահետևանքային կապը հարյուրամյա իրադարձությունների և ներկայի միջև, այդուհանդերձ մենք ապրում ենք բոլորովին այլ աշխարհում, հաղորդակցության այլ դարաշրջանում, հնարավորությունների այլ միջավայրում։

Առաջին հանրապետությունը չպետք է դառնա համեմատության առարկա։ Երրորդ Հանրապետությունը գտնվում է չափազանց, արմատապես տարբեր միջավայրում, որտեղ պատմական համեմատությունները այլևս նեղացնում են հանրային մտահորիզոնը, սահմանափակում տեսադաշտը, ըստ էության ստեղծում ջայլամային մի տրամաբանություն, երբ մենք ներկայից և ապագայից պաշտպանվելու համար մեր գլուխը պարբերաբար թաղում ենք անցյալի մեջ։

Մայիսի 28-ը մեր անցյալի փառահեղ էջերից է, մեր հպարտության առարկան, մեր հաղթանակների կոդը, մեր արժանապատվության ուղենիշը, սանդղակը։ Բայց դա մեզ պարտավորեցնում է նայել դեպի ապագա, հանգամանալից ուսումնասիրել ներկան, գնահատել այն միջավայրը, որում մենք ապրում ենք, հասկանալ հաղորդուղիները, դրանց ընձեռած նոր հնարավորությունները, ներկայիս խաղացողների վարքագծային փոփոխությունները, որ պայմանավորված են դրանցով՝ թե՛ տարածաշրջանային, թե՛ աշխարհաքաղաքական կենտրոնների իմաստով։ Մեր տարածաշրջանն այսօր միայն Ռուսաստանի և Թուրքիայի արանքում չէ, մեր տարածաշրջանում այսօր կան ակտիվ ԱՄՆ, Եվրամիություն, Իրան, այսօր կա եվրաասոցացվող Վրաստան։

Մայիսի 28-ի արժեքը պետք է մեզ օգնի առավելագույնս ադապտացնել մեր միտքը ներկային և ամբողջացնել ապագայի գինը մեզ համար։ 98 տարի առաջ մեր սերունդները Սարդարապատում հերոսացել են մեր գլուխը բարձր պահելու և ապագա կառուցելու, ոչ թե այդ գլուխը պարբերաբար նրանց հերոսության մեջ «ջայլամի» նման թաքցնելու համար»,–գրում է թերթը։
