Դոցենտը նշում է, որ շատ լեզուներով աջլիկ նշանակում է ճիշտ կամ լավ (օրինակ՝ անգլ. right (correct, good), իսկ ձախլիկ՝ սխալ, չար (օրինակ՝ անլգ. left (evil, wrong)): Տեսանյութի մեջ նշվում է, որ ձեռքերի ընտրության հարցը մարդու մոտ զարգանում է դեռևս մոր արգանդում: Չնայած նրան, որ զույգ երեխաները նույն գենետիկ կոդն են կրում, կարող է մեկն աջլիկ իսկ մյուսն էլ ձախլիկ լինել:
Եթե հայրը ձախլիկ է, մայրը աջլիկ, ապա երեխայի ձախլիկ ծնվելու հավանականությունը 17% է:
Եթե երկու ծնողն էլ աջլիկ են, ապա երեխայի ձախլիկ ծնվելու հավանականությունը 10% է:
Եթե մայրը ձախլիկ է, հայրն աջլիկ, ապա երեխայի ձախլիկ ծնվելու հավանականությունը 22% է: Տեսանյութի մեջ նշվում է նաև, որ ձախլիկները մի փոքր առավելություն ունեն սպորտի որոշակի ոլորտներում:
