«Սփյուռքում կես կատակ, կես լուրջ «Արի տուն» ծրագրի «արի» բառը ներկայացնում են որպես «քաջ»։ Ասում են ի՞նչ ըսել է «արի» քաջ։ Երեկ ՀՀ Սփյուռքի նախարարին կից հասարակական խորհրդի անդրանիկ նիստի ընթացքում այս մասին հայտարարեց ԳԱԱ Պատմության ինստիտուտի տնօրեն Աշոտ Մելքոնյանը։

Նա առաջարկեց «արի» բառի վրա կամ շեշտ դնել, որպեսզի հասկանալի լինի, որ բայի հրամայական ձևն է, կամ էլ «արի»–ն սարքել «եկուր», «դարձիր»։
«Որովհետև արևմտահայերենով «արի»–ն «եկուր» կամ «դարձիր» է։ Կամ անունը պիտի փոխենք ու գրենք դարձիր տուն կամ «արի» բառի կողքը պիտի դնենք «եկուր», որ հասկանալի լինի։ Կամ էլ պիտի ասենք «դարձիր տուն», որ նույնը լինի և արևելահայերենով, և արևմտահայերենով»,– ասաց Մելքոնյանը։

Հրանուշ Հակոբյանը դեմ չարտահայտվեց, ժպիտը դեմքին նա ասաց, որ ինքը համաձայն է, որ դարձնեն «եկուր տան», բայց մի խնդիր կա այդ ծրագիրը բոլորն այդ անունով են ճանաչում։
Հասարակական խորհրդի անդրանիկ նիստի ընթացքում հայտարարվեց, որ «Արի տուն» ծրագրի իրականացման վրա ծախսվում է տարեկան շուրջ 100 միլիոն ՀՀ դրամ։
Ծրագրի նպատակն, ինչպես հայտնի է սփյուռքահայ երեխաներին հայրենիք բերելն է։ 10 օր նրանք ապրում են հայ ընտանիքներում, ճանաչում հայկական կենցաղը, հայկական ավանդական ընտանիքի բարքերը, դիտում Հայաստանի տեսարժան վայրերը, խոնարհվում Ցեղասպանության հուշարձանի առջև»,–գրում է թերթը։
