Ցանկացած դիմահարդար կփաստի, որ գեղեցիկ եւ կոկիկ դիմահարդարման առաջին գրավականը հարթ մաշկն է։ Եթե մաշկը ճիշտ է դիմահարդարված, նույնիսկ աչքերի հատուկ դիմահարդարման անհրաժեշտություն էլ չի լինում։

Այս համոզմունքին է նաեւ դիմահարդար Ռոզաննա Փիրսը, որն ասվածը փաստելու նպատակով անգամ ուսուցողական տեսանյութ է նկարահանել եւ տեղադրել YouTube-ի իր ալիքում։

Փիրսը  խորհուրդ է տալիս դիմահարդարումը սկսելուց առաջ դեմքը խոնավացնել, քանի որ այդպես տոնային քսուքն ու կոնսիլերն ավելի երկար են մնում դեմքի վրա։

Այնուհետեւ դեմքին պետք է տարածել տոնային քսուքը. Դա պետք է անել հատուկ սպունգի միջոցով, որպեսզի քսուքը որքան հնարավոր է հարթ տարածվի մաշկի վրա։

Դիմահարդարման մեջ շատ կարեւոր է նաեւ աչքերի ներքեւի հատվածը։ Որքան այն խնամված է եւ հարթ, այնքան աչքերի դիմահարդարումն ավելի արտահայտիչ է լինում։ Դրա համար Ռոզաննան օգտագործում է աչքերի ներքեւի հատվածի համար նախատեսված քսուք՝ կոնսիլեր։

Չպետք է մոռանալ տոնային քսուքից եւ կոնսիլերից հետո տարածել նաեւ դիմափոշի, որը ոչ միայն հարթում է մաշկը, այլեւ նպաստում է, որ դիմահարդարումը երկար պահպանվի։ Դրանից հետո այտոսկրերն ընդգծեք փայլուն սնգույրով։

Աչքերի վերին հատվածում դիմահարդարը տարածում է ոսկեգույն ստվերաներկ։ Նա աչքերը չի ընդգծում սեւ մատիտով, դրանք պարզապես ավելի արտահայտիչ է դարձնում թարթչաներկի օգնությամբ։

Դիմահարդարումը ցանկալի է ավարտել բաց երանգի փայլուն շրթներկով, որն ամբողջացնում է փայլուն դիմահարդարումը։
