Արմեն Հովասափյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրում է.

Ապացուցված ճշմարտություն է, որ աշխարհագրությունը՝ պատմության արտահայտումն է, իսկ պատմությունը՝ աշխարհագրության բովանդակությունը: Հայաստանը կարող է դիտվել իբրև այս բանաձևի ապացույցը:

Հայկական լեռնաշխարհը հնդեվրոպական քաղաքակրթության երբեմնի օրրանն ու գերմանական-արմենական ցեղերի հայրենիքն էր, որը «սերունդ մատակարարեց» Իռլանդիայից մինչև Հնդկաստան, դառնալով մի առանձնահատուկ կապող համընդհանուր աշխարհաքաղաքական իրադարձություններին, ու միշտ եղավ սուր քաղաքական խաչմերուկների ու բախումների կիզակետում: Արևելքի և Արևմուտքի հատման կետում լինելու առկայությունը, սակայն, չի խանգարել լինել ոչ զուտ Արևելք և ոչ էլ զուտ Արևմուտք: Դա վերաբերում է նաև Լեռնաշխարհում ապրող մարդատեսակին՝ Հային ու նրա կեցությանը:

Հայ ազգի ճակատագիրը բազմադարյա պատմության ընթացքում մշտապես զարգանում էր ոչ թե հյուսիս-հարավ, այլ արևելք-արևմուտք առանցքով:

Միջնադարյան Հայաստանի պատմության երեք մեծագույն բարձունքները նույնպես կապված են Արևելքն Արևմուտքին կամրջելու առաքելության հետ: Կիլիկյան թագավորությունը, որը չնայած բազմաթիվ ընտանեկան և պետական կապերով միաձուլված էր Եվրոպայի հետ, միաժամանակ Հեթում արքայի օրոք իրականացրեց աննախադեպ քաղաքական արշավանք դեպի Կարակորում, եղբայրության պայմանագիր կնքելով աշխարհի սարսափը հանդիսացող մոնղոլական խանության հետ: Ջուղայի հայերը ստեղծել էին մի ամբողջ առևտրային կայսրություն՝ հարյուրից ավելի նավ ունեցող նավատորմով, որը 17-18 դդ. կապում էր Հնդկաստանն ու Չինաստանը Եվրոպայի հետ, մրցելով ու դիմադրելով հզոր Անգլիային: Արդեն դրան հաջորդեց Օսմանյան կայսրության տնտեսական, մշակութային, առևտրական զարգացումը, որը դարերով գտնվում էր հայության գերակայության ներքո:

ՀՀ-ն արդեն մեկ տարուց ավել է՝ անդամակացում է ԵՏՄ-ին, որը համընդհանուր գեոպոլիտիկ հավաքական մարմին ստեղծելու լուրջ հայտ է ներկայացրել: ԵՏՄ-ի Ազատ առևտրային գոտի ստեծելու՝ վերջին շրջանում բավականին լուրջ ու հեռանկարային քաղաքականությունը դրա վառ ապացույցն է: Այդ գոտու շրջանակում նախատեսվում է Միության համագործակցությունը Հարավ-Արևելյան Ասիայի մի շարք երկրների, այդ թվում` Հնդկաստանի և Իսրայելի հետ: Սա մի տեսակ յուրահատուկ ալյանս կարող է դառնալ ի հակադրություն ԵՄ-ի:

Այս ֆոնին հատկանշականն այն է, որ, չնայած Հայաստանը ԵՏՄ լիիրավ անդամ է, սակայն Եվրոպական ընտանիքում ևս ընդունելի տեսակ է, ու ԵՄ-ի հետ համագործակցությունը շարունակվում է: Ինչպես իր ողջ պատմական քառուղու ընթացքում՝ այժմ էլ Հայաստանը շարունակում է երկու քաղաքակրթական հարթակներում ընկալելի մնալ:

Հ.գ. Շուրջ երկու հազար տարվա հայոց պատմությունը քննելով՝ գալիս ենք եզրակացության, որ այն դեպքում, երբ հայ թագավորական, նախարարական կամ իշխանական վերնախավը երկիրը կառավարել է ելնելով բուն ազգային ավանդական կեցութային հիմքերից, ազգային կյանքի առկա իրական դրվածքից, այդ ամենը պահող-պահպանող հավատքից և ունեցել է դրան այս կամ այն չափով նպաստող ու համահունչ՝ արևելյան (դեպ Իրան-Պարսկաստան, ավելի ուշ Ռուսաստան) աշխարհի այդ կողմում առաջացած արժեքների կողմնորոշում՝ հայկական պետականությունն ու կյանքն ընդհանրապես հաստատուն ընթացք է ունեցել, հայը պահել-հարստացրել է իր ազգային դեմք-դիմագիծը, իր ազգային արժեքները:
