ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարար Սեյրան Օհանյանը Սոցիալ-դեմոկրատ հնչակյան կուսակցության երիտասարդ անդամների հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ մի քանի բանաձևեր ներկայացրեց, որոնցով հնարավոր կլինի ապագայում հասնել հաջողությունների և դառնալ տարածաշրջանում հզոր երկիր: Այդ բանաձևերից մեկը վերաբերում է բանակ-ժողովուրդ շղթայական օղակին. յուրաքանչյուր պահի պետք է ժողովուրդը կարողանա վերածվել համաժողովորդական բանակի: «Երբ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Հանրապետության նախագահին հարցրեցին, թե ինչքան է Ղարաբաղի բանակը, նա ասաց` «այնքան է, որքան Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի բնակչությունն է»: Հենց դրա համար է, որ մենք Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցին պետք է ունենանք 1.5 միլիոն զինվոր»,-ասաց Սեյրան Օհանյանը: Նախարարը նկատեց, որ գնալով հայ զինվորի և հասարակության միջև հարաբերությունները ջերմանում են: «Մենք բաց ենք դառնում ժողովրդի առջև: Այնտեղ, որտեղ բանակն ու ժ ողովուրդը միասնական են, նրանք անպարտելի են»,- -«Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ` նշեց նախարարը:

Նրա դիտարմամբ` Հայաստանը, շատ փոքր երկիր լինելով և միևնույն ժամանակ շրջապատված լինելով մեծ տարածք ունեցող հարևաններով, պետք է զարգանա այս կերպ. «Հայաստանի զարգացման գործում մեր գործադրած ջանքերը պետք է ուղիղ համեմատական լինեն մեր հարևանների տարածքներին ու հակադարձ համեմատական` մեր երկրի տարածքին»: 

Հայոց բանակի հրամանատարի կողմից առաջարկվող հաջորդ բանաձևը «օրորոցային վրեժի» քաղաքականությունն է:  Նրա խոսքով` որքան շատ լինեն օրորոցները, որքան շատ լինեն երեխաները, այնքան մեծ կլինի հայ ժողովրդի ներուժը:

Նախարարը նշեց, որ տարեց տարի ամրապնդվում է Հայոց բանակի դերը կառավարման համակարգում, տարեց տարի բանակը հանդես է գալիս որպես բարեվարքության, արդարության, կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքարի գործում լավագույն օրինակ: «Գնալով բանակի հրամանատարների դերն է աճում ինչպես զինվորների,  այնպես էլ նրանց ծնողների կյանքում: Նրանք ավելի ուշադիր են զինվորների նկատմամբ: Մենք ոչ թե մարդակենտրոն բանակ ենք ստեղծում, մեզ համար զինվորը ոչ թե ռեսուրս է, այլ անհատ, ով կարևոր է իր գիտելիքներով, հմտություններով»,-ասաց Սեյրան Օհանյանը:

Հանդիպմանը ներկա էր ՀՀ սփյուռքի նախարար Հրանուշ Հակոբյանը, ում խոսքով`Հայոց բանակը հայկական երկու պետությունների պահապանն ու պաշտպանն է: «Մեր բանակը կարողացավ պահպանել ու այսօր էլ պաշտպանում է մեր սահմանները, կարողանում է ցանկացած պահի հաղթել թշնամուն ու ահուսարսափի մեջ պահել թշնամուն, քանի որ հայի ազատատենչ ոգին գենետիկորեն փոխանցվել է մեր սպաներին: Նրանք անում են ամեն ինչ, որ Հայաստան աշխարհն անվտանգ ապրի, հզորանա, զարգանա»,-նշեց Հրանուշ Հակոբյանը:
