Կառավարությունը միայնակ չի կարող արդյունավետ  պայքար մղել կոռուպցիայի և մենաշնորհների դեմ: Ազգային ժողովում խորհրդարանական ճեպազրույցների շրջանակում լրագրողների հետ հանդիպմանը նման կարծիք հայտնեց ԱԺ ԲՀԿ խմբակցության պատգամավոր Միքայել Մելքումյանը: «Ժողովրդի մեծ մասը պետք է աջակցի կառավարությանն այդ հարցում: Ինչպես պատերազմական գործո ղությունների ժամանակ ժողովրդի մեծ մասը ոտքի կանգնեց, այնպես էլ այս դեպքում պետք է լինի: Որովհետև եթե ժողովուրդը կոռուպցիայի և մենաշնորհների դեմ պայքարում չաջակցեց կառավարությանը, մենք որևէ հաջողություն չենք կարող ակնկալել»,- նշեց Մելքումյանը:

Հարցին՝ եթե ժողովուրդը չի վստահում կառավարությանը, ինչպե՞ս կարող է այդ դեպքում աջակցել, Մելքումյանը պատասխանեց. «Այդ հարցը քաղաքական լուծումներ պահանջող հարց է: Ժողովուրդն իսկապես պետք է հավատա սրան: Բայց այս միջոցառումներն էլ արվում են ժողովրդի վստահությունը վերականգնելու համար: Այսինքն, եթե մենք կառավարության ամեն ասածին չհավատանք, ասենք լավ բան մի արեք, քանի որ մենք չենք հավատում և վերջ, սա ճիշտ ճանապարհ չէ: Ես դրա կողմնակիցը չեմ: Եթե իշխանության որակն այն չի, բայց նա լավ բան է ասում, մենք պետք է փորձենք այդ լավին աջակցել: Նորից եմ ասում, որ կառավարությունը միայնակ չի կարող: Հարկավոր է գաղափարն այնպես տանել, որ դա աջակցություն ստանա ժողովրդի կողմից: Ես նորից եմ ասում՝ իշխանության որակը բոլորովին հիմք չէ, որ մենք լավ գաղափարներն առաջ չտանենք»,- եզրափակեց Մելքումյանը:
