Ժուռնալիստիկայի միջազգային կենտրոնը (İCFJ – International Center for Journalists) Նյու Յորքում հայտարարել է Knight International Journalism Award հեղինակավոր ժուռնալիստիկայի պարգեւի հաղթողներին, որոնց թվում է նաեւ Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիեւի ընտանիքի սեփական ժողովրդից գողացած հարստությունը հետազոտած լրագրող Միրանդա Պատրուչիչը:  

Այս մասին ասվում է ICFJ-ի մամուլի տեղեկագրում:

Պարգեւը տրվել է Բոսնիայից եւ Մեքսիկայից հետազոտող լրագրողներին: Հաղթողների թվում է նաեւ Սարաեւոյում աշխատող լրագրող Միրանդա Պատրուչիչը, ով հայտնի է որպես Ադրբեջանում եւ Ուզբեկստանում վերնախավի կոռուպցիոն գործունեության բացահայտող:

«Հենց այս լրագրողներն են բարձր մակարդակի պաշտոնյաների կոռուպցիոն գործունեության իրենց բացահայտումներով փոխում աշխարհը», -հաղթողներին հայտարարելու ժամանակ ասել է ICFJ-ի նախագահ Ջոյս Բարնաթհանը:

Պարգեւի արժանացած Միրանդա  Պատրուչիչը լրագրողներին ասել է, որ ե՛ւ երջանիկ է, ե՛ւ խիստ մտահոգ, մտահոգ է, քանի որ իր գործընկեր եւ Ալիեւների կոռուպցիոն գործունեության բացահայտման գլխավոր հերոս Խադիջա Իսմայիլովան բանտ է նետված:

«Խադիջա Իսմայիլովայի գործունեությունը խոչընդոտված է: Ադրբեջանում իշխող Ալիեւների ընտանիքի կոռուպցիոն գործողությունները բացահայտելու համար նա 2014 թվականի դեկտեմբերին ձերբակալվել է եւ մինչ այժմ գտնվում է բանտում», -ասել է Միրանդա Պատրուչիչը:

Foreign Policy հանդեսը Ադրբեջանում շինծու մեղադրանքներով եւ քաղաքական դրդապատճառներով դատապարտված ադրբեջանցի լրագրողԽադիջա Իսմայիլովային մտցրել է 100 գլխավոր համաշխարհային մտածողների ցուցակ:

Amnesty International-ը եւ այլ միջազգային կազմակերպություններ նրան ճանաչել են «խղճի դատապարտյալ»:
