Այս բույսն ունի տարբեր անվանումներ՝ երջանկության ծառ, փողի ծառ: Ունի նաև գիտական անվանում: Սակայն այս տնային բույսի ամենատարածված անվանումը երջանկության ծառ է:
Այն շատ հեշտ է  խնամել, լավ է տանում լույսի պակասը, հազվադեպ է ջրվում, կայուն է վնասակարների և հիվանդությունների հանդեպ, չորադիմացկուն է: Այս բույսը սիրվել է իր պարզ և հարմարվող բնավորության համար:

Հողը
Երջանկության ծառը տնկում են ծաղկամաններում և ոչ փխրուն հողում: Չի կարելի օգտագործել տորֆի խառնուրդներ: Ծաղկամանի հատակին անհրաժեշտ է շարել փոքրիկ քարեր, որը կպահպանի արմատները փտելուց:

Ջրելը
Հարկավոր է օգտագործել տնային ջերմաստիճանի ջուր: Մատով ձեռք տվեք հողը՝ եթե այն կպչի մատին, ուրեմն ջրելու կարիք չկա: Երջանկության ծառը չի սիրում շատ խոնավություն, այն ավելի հեշտ է տանում ջրի պակասը: Ջրի մեջ հարկավոր է լուծել հանքային պարարտանյութ: Ձմռանը հարկավոր է խուսափե լմիջանցիկ քամիներից, չի կարելի բույսը դնել ջեռուցման սարքերի մոտ: Չի կարելի գնել պատրաստի ծառ, այն հարկավոր է աճեցնել շիվից, սիրել և փայփայել: Այդ ժամանակ արդյունք կլինի: Հարկավոր չէ բույսի վրա ջուր ցայել, բավական է ուղղակի մաքրել տերևները: Անհրաժեշտ է հաճախ օդափոխել:

Ջերմաստիճան
Ամռանը լավ է մինչև 22 աստիճանը, իսկ  ձմռանը հարկավոր է մինչև 12%, և նույնիսկ մինչև 6%  զովություն: Սիրում է լույս, բայց ոչ արևի ճառագայթներ:

Դժվարություններ
* Եթե ծառի տերևները հանկարծակի թափում են, ուրեմն ջրելիս ջուրը եղել է շատ սառը և ծառը քիչ է ջրվել:
* Ձմռանը հողի շատ խոնավ լինելու պատճառով տերևները կսկսեն թոռոմել և գունատվել: Իսկ եթե բույսը քիչ է ջրվում, տերևները կնճռոտվում են և կորցնում փայլը:
* Տգեղ երկար ցողուն կարող է ստացվել լույսի պակասի կամ շատ ջրելու պատճառով: Որպեսզի երջանկության ծառը չթեքվի, հարկավոր է պարբերաբար պտտել ծաղկամանը: Այս բույսը ունի ծառի տեսք՝ ներքևի տերևները աստիճանաբար թափվում են, առաջանում է բաց ցողուն, իսկ տերևներն աճում են վերևից:
