«Մայիսի 20-ին կլրանա Սյունիքի մարզպետ Սուրիկ Խաչատրյանի դեմ կատարված մահափորձի մեկ տարին։ Ինչպես հայտնի է՝ մահափորձի գործով կալանավորվել և մինչ օրս անազատության մեջ են մնում Սյունիքի մարզի բնակիչներ Հենրիկ Ավագյանը, Գարեն Աթաջանյանը, Վիտալի Մինասյանը և Արա Բուդաղյանը։ Նրանցից Արա Բուդաղյանը, Գարեն Աթաջանյանը և Վիտալի Մինասյանն իրենց մեղքը չեն ընդունում։ Իսկ Հենրիկ Ավագյանը, որը մեղադրվում է սպանության փորձ կատարելու, ապօրինի զենք և ռազմամթերք ձեռք բերելու մեջ, խոստովանել է մեղքը՝ հայտնելով, որ ինքն է կրակել, բայց ոչ թե սպանելու, այլ վախեցնելու նպատակով։
«Ժողովուրդ»– ի տեղեկություններով՝ ԱԱԾ-ի քննիչները այս ընթացքում ամեն կերպ փորձել են փաստեր գտնել, որոնք կապացուցեն, որ Արա Բուդաղյանը կատարվածի հետ կապ ունի, սակայն ապարդյուն։ Անգամ գաղտնալսումը չի օգնել։ ԱԱԾ ղեկավարությունը փակուղում է հայտնվել։ Մեղադրանքը չի հաստատվում, ոչ էլ կարող են մարդուն տասը ամիս անազատության մեջ պահելուց հետո ազատ արձակել, կարծես ոչինչ չի պատահել»,–գրում է թերթը։
