Երեկ՝ մայիսի 10-ին, ողբերգական դեպք է տեղի ունեցել Կոտայքի մարզում: Ժամը 16:00-ի սահմաններում Հրազդանի բժշկական կենտրոնից ոստիկանության Հրազդանի բաժին հայտնել են, որ վրաերթի հետևանքով մահացած վիճակում իրենց մոտ է տեղափոխվել աղջիկ երեխա: Ինչպես հայտնում է ֆոտոլրագրող Գագիկ Շամշյանը, հիվանդանոց են մեկնել ոստիկանության Հրազդանի բաժնի օպերատիվ խումբը՝ Հայաստանի քննչական կոմիտեի Կոտայքի մարզային քննչական վարչության հատկապես կարևոր գործերով ագագ քննիչ Ղումաշյանի գլխավորոթյամբ: Ոստիկաններն ու քննիչները պարզել են, որ մահացած երեխան Հրազդան քաղաքի Միկրոշրջան թաղամասի 61 շենքի բնակիչ, 3-ամյա Լիանա Մելքոնյանն է:
Պարզվել է, որ նույն օրը, ժամը 15:50-ի սահմաններում Ջրառատ թաղամասի բնակիչ, 26-ամյա Հարություն Թովմասյանը իր վարած Վազ 21099 մակնիշի HB 624 E50 համարանիշի ավտոմեքենայով Միկրոշրջան թաղամասի թիվ 61 շենքի հարևանությամբ գտնվող ավտոտնակ մտնելիս անզգուշաբար վրաերթի է ենթարկել դարպասների մոտ գտնվող Լ. Մելքոնյանին: Վարորդը երեխային իր ավտոմեքենայով շտապ տեղափոխել է Հրազդանի բժշկական կենտրոն, սակայն երեխան ճանապարհին մահացել է:
Փաստի առթիվ Հայաստանի քննչական կոմիտեի Կոտայքի մարզային քննչական վարչությունում հարուցվել քերական գործ՝ ՀՀ քր.օր.-ի 242 հոդվածի 2-րդ մասի հատկանիշներով: Գ. Շամշյանի տեղեկություններով՝ երեխան վարորդի ազգականն էր: Ծանուցում. Ենթադրյալ հանցանքի մեջ կասկածվողը կամ մեղադրվողը համարվում է անմեղ, քանի դեռ նրա մեղավորությունն ապացուցված չէ ՀՀ քրեական դատավարության օրենսգրքով սահմանված կարգով` դատարանի` օրինական ուժի մեջ մտած դատավճռով:
