ԱՄՆ-ի նախկին նախարարները հորդորել են Մեծ Բրիտանիային՝ չլքել Եվրամիությունը

Բրիտանիան կկորցնի իր միջազգային ազդեցությունը, եթե դուրս գա Եվրամիությունից: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, Times-ում հրապարակված նամակում գրել են ԱՄՆ-ի 13 նախկին բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյաներ:
Նախկին պետքարտուղարները, պաշտպանության նախարարներն ու ազգային անվտանգության հարցերով խորհրդականներն ընդգծում են, որ Բրիտանիան չպետք Է հուսա, որ Միացյալ Նահանգների հետ առանձնահատուկ հարաբերությունները նրան կփոխհատուցեն Եվրամիության կորուստը:
Նամակի հեղինակների թվում են՝ նախկին պետքարտուղարներ Մադլեն Օլբրայթը եւ Ջորջ Շուլցը, ինչպես նաեւ Կենտրոնական հետախուզական վարչության նախկին ղեկավար եւ պաշտպանության նախկին նախարար Լեոն Պենետան:
Նրանց խոսքով՝ ԱՄՆ-ին հարկավոր Է ուժեղ Եվրոպա, մինչդեռ ԵՄ-ից Մեծ Բրիտանիայի դուրս գալը կթուլացնի ինչպես երկիրը, այնպես Էլ ամբողջ միությունը:
«Հարկավոր Է հաշվի առնել, որ նույնիսկ մեր երկու երկրների միջեւ հաստատված շատ սերտ հարաբերությունները չեն կարողանա Մեծ Բրիտանիային փոխհատուցել ազդեցության կորուստը եւ 28 պետություններից բաղկացած Եվրամիության անդամության կորուստը, որի տարածքում շուրջ 500 մլն մարդ Է բնակվում»,-ասված Է նամակում:
