Ադրբեջանցի Թոֆիկ Ալիևն արդեն 52 տարի իր հայ կնոջ՝ Վալյա Թովմասյանի հետ հաշտ ու համերաշխ ապրում է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Ասկերան քաղաքում։
Ալիևը ադրբեջանական Եվլախ քաղաքի մոտ գտնվող մի գյուղում է ծնվել։ Անձնագրում այդպես էլ գրված է՝ ծննդավայրը՝ Ադրբեջան։
Ամուսինները երեխաներ չունեն, օգնող չունեն, ասում են. - «Իրար ենք պահում»։
Ղարաբաղյան պատերազմի տարիներին Թոֆիկ Ալիևը որոշել է կնոջը մենակ չթողնել։ Հիշում է՝ 90-ականներին այգում պահակ էր աշխատում ու զինվորներին միրգ ու բանջարեղեն մատակարարում։
«Կռվի ժամանակ կոլխոզում՝ բաղչումը, ախրաննիկ եմ աշխատել։ Կարտոշկա և այլն, քաղել եմ, բերել եմ վայեննիների համար, մինչև վերջ էն կռվումը», - «Ազատության»-ը պատմեց Թոֆիկ Ալիևը։
Բարեկամները կնոջս միշտ էլ լավ են վերաբերվել՝ ասում է Ալիևն ու հիշում, թե ինչպես հայրն իրեն մի օր տուն չէր թողնում՝ կնոջը հետը չբերելու համար։ Մինչդեռ կինը թաքնված սպասում էր, թե սկեսրայրն ինչ կասի։
«Ես դուռը թակել եմ, հայաթում դուռ ունեինք, իմ հերը դուրս ա եկել, տեսել ա մենակ ես եմ, ասել ա՝ «բա աղջիկս ո՞ւր ա»։ Ասել եմ՝ «դե, չի եկել, զոռով բերե՞մ», ասել ա՝ «հետ դառի, քինա, կբերես, կգաս»։ Ասում եմ՝ «աղջի, եկ դուրս էլ, թողնին մտնիմ», - պատմեց Թոֆիկ Ալիևը։
