Խադիջա Իսմայիլովան ստացել է UNESCO-ի մրցանակ

Ադրբեջանցի լրագրող Խադիջա Իսմայիլովան, ով ներկայում կալանված է սեփական երկրում և պատիժ է կրում իբր թե տնտեսական հանցագործությունների պատճառով, արժանացել է UNESCO-ի` մամուլի ազատության շրջանակում տրվող Գիլյերմո Կանոյի անվան մրցանակին:
ՏԱՍՍ-ը հաղորդում է, որ մրցանակաբաշխությունը տեղի է ունեցել Հելսինկիում ընթացող` Մամուլի համաշխարհային օրվան նվիրված միջազգային գիտաժողովի ժամանակ:
Գիլյերմո Կանոն կոլումբիացի լրագրող և խմբագիր էր, ով սպանվել է 1986 թ.-ին Բոգոտայում իր թերթի խմբագրության շենքի մոտ: Կոլումբիացու անվան մրցանակը տրվում է անհատ լրագրողների կամ կազմակերպության` հաշվի առնելով վերջիններիս ներդրումը մամուլի ազատության և դրա զարգացման առումով:
«Իսմայիլովան մշտապես առանց վախի է առաջ շարժվել, որպեսզի կարողանա նյութեր հավաքել սեփական հրապարակումների համար: Ինչքան էլ բարդ է եղել դրությունը, նա հետ չի կանգնել մարդու իրավունքների կարևորության գաղափարից»,- հայտարարել է UNESCO-ի գլխավոր տնօրեն Իրինա Բոկովան:
Մամուլի ազատության շրջանակում տրվող մրցանակը նաև 25 հազար ԱՄՆ դոլարի պարգևավճար էր սահմանել, որը Իսմայիլովայի բացակայության պայմաններում, ստացել է ադրբեջանցու մայրը` Էլմիրան, ով հատուկ մրցանակը ստանալու համար ժամանել էր Հելսինկի:
