«Նարեկացի» արվեստի միությունում տեղի ունեցավ երիտասարդ և խոստումնալից լուսանկարիչ Կարեն Խաչատուրովի «Սյուրռեալ տիեզերք» (“Surreal Universe”) ցուցահանդեսի բացումը:

ՆԱՄ-ում էին հավաքվել բազմաթիվ արվեստասեր երիտասարդներ և այս ոճային ուղղվածությունը գնահատողներ։ Նշենք, որ սա հեղինակի առաջին անհատական ցուցահանդեսն էր, որով նա անդրադարձ էր կատարել կյանքի քաոսի, «Ես»-ի լղոզման, սեփական անձի ողբերգական կորստին, որը «սպիտակ» ելքերի կարիք ունի՝ դրանով իսկ ընդգծելով իր ոճային ուղղվածությունը և յուրահատկությունը:

Ո՞վ ես դու հայելու առջև, ո՞վ ես դու դատարկության աշխարհում և ամբոխի ալիքներում: «Ես»-ի որոնման ճանապարհներին շատ խաչմերուկներ են կանգառներ դառնում: Ձուկը երկնքում չի ճախրի, բայց մարդիկ թռիչքի նոր ուղիներ են փնտրում: Կարեն Խաչատուրովի «Սյուրռեալ տիեզերք» ֆոտոշարքը՝ կյանքի քաոսի, «ես»-ի որոնման և հող դառնալու «արվեստի» մասին է: Այս նկարներում հեղինակը փորձել է ներկայացնել մեր բազմագույն գոյության արտացոլանքն ու քաոսային հոգեվիճակը, որը հանդարտվելու և ներդաշնակվելու անհրաժեշտություն ունի: «Նոր խոսք մեր ֆոտոիրականության մեջ՝ էքսպերիմենտալ և համարձակ: Տարբեր հոգեբանական ասոցացիաներ ստեղծող գործեր: Կարևոր է նաև, որ լուսանկարները զերծ են սիրուն բառի վատ իմաստով կողմից, որը շատ է այսօր ու մի տեսակ արժեզրկված»,- կիսվելով տպավորություններով ասաց հյուրերից մեկը:
