Անի Հակոբյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրում է.
1895թ. նյույորքյան «World» թերթը սենսացիայի փնտրտուքներով սկսեց առաջին էջին տպագրել դեղին շապիկով երեխայի լուսանկար, որը ոչ կոռեկտ արտահայտություններ էր անում: Մրցակցությունը պահելու ձգտումով շատ շուտով նույնպիսի դեղին շապիկով երեխայի լուսանկար իր առաջին էջին սկսեց տպագրել նաև նյույորքյան մեկ այլ` «New York Journal» թերթը: Երկու թերթերի միջև վեճ սկսվեց` այդ տեսակի սենսացիայի հայտնագործման իրավունքների համար: Այդ աղմկոտ բանավեճին խառնվեց «New York Press» թերթի խմբագիր Էրվին Ուորդմենը, ով «դեղին երեխայի» շուրջ վիճող երկու թերթերն էլ անվանեց դեղին մամուլ...

Վերջին տարիներին Հայաստանում խոսքի ազատությունը շատ լուրջ արժեք է դարձել: Մենք կարող ենք հպարտանալ, որ ունենք իրոք ազատ և անկախ մամուլ: Դրա մեջ իհարկե փոքր չէ տեղեկատվական տեխնոլոգիաների առաջընթացի դերը: Բացվեցին մի շարք էլեկտրոնային լրատվական կայքեր, բլոգներ, ֆորումներ, որոնք կարելի է ասել ինչ-որ չափով դուրս են վերահսկողությունից, այստեղ լրագրողները ազատ են, ազատ են իրենց մտքերը արտահայտելիս, ազատ են գրառումների թեմաներն ընտրելիս, չկա պարտադրանք, չկա հսկողություն ու գրաքննություն: Այսօր կարելի է ասել յուրաքանչյուր բլոգեր ու ֆեյսբուքցի ունի իր սեփական, փոքրիկ «մամուլը», որը ծառայում է ամբողջ երկրում խոսքի ազատության պահպանմանը:
Շնորհավորում եմ բոլոր լրագրողներին մամուլի ազատության օրվա կապակցությամբ: Բայց և արդար չի լինի այս օրը չշնորհավորել նաև բլոգերներին և ֆեյսբուքահայ ակտիվ օգտատերերին: Շնորհավորում եմ նաև ձեզ, որովհետև ձեր դերը ազատ մամուլի կայացման գործում շատ մեծ է:
