Մամուլի ազատության համաշխարհային օրվա առթիվ ՀՀ Ազգային ժողովի նախագահ Գալուստ Սահակյանը շնորհավորական ուղերձ է հղել: Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ ԱԺ հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, ուղերձում ասվում է.

«Լրատվամիջոցների հարգելի՛ ներկայացուցիչներ, շնորհավորում եմ Մամուլի ազատության համաշխարհային օրվա առթիվ:

Աշխարհի տարբեր անկյուններում տեղի ունեցող` բռնություն կամ անհանդուրժողականություն բովանդակող երեւույթների եւ իրադարձությունների որոշակի մասն ուղղված է ազատության դեմ` ապրելու ազատության, մտածելու ազատության, գործելու եւ, իհարկե, խոսելու ազատության դեմ: Որպես ազատության այս դրսեւորումների եւ հատկապես խոսքի ազատության լավագույն կրողներ եւ իրացնողներ՝ լրագրողներն այդ իրադարձությունների կիզակետում են: Ազատությունն ամբողջովին ապահովագրված չէ թե՛ թեժ կետերում, թե՛ անգամ ամենաժողովրդավարական ու ամենաքաղաքակիրթ ընկալվող հասարակու թյուններում, ինչի ականատեսն ու արձանագրողն առաջինը հենց լրագրողներն են` հասարակության տեղեկացվածությունն ու ազատ խոսքի իրավունքը երբեմն ապահովելով նաեւ իրենց ազատության եւ, ցավոք, նաեւ կյանքի գնով:

Պետությունների պատմության հետ մեկտեղ գրվում է նաեւ նրանցում գործող մամուլի պատմությունը: Այս տարի Հայաստանի անկախության 25-ամյակի հետ լրանում է նաեւ հայկական ազատ մամուլի պատմության քառորդ դարը, թեպետ որոշ լրատվամիջոցներ նույնիսկ ավելի տարիքով են, քան մեր անկախությունը: Նրանք բոլորն էլ մեր երկրի ժամանակակից պատմության տարեգիրներն են, որոնք, անկախ հնչող գնահատականներից, ազատ են իրենց մտածելակերպում եւ գործելակերպում, ազատ են իրենց ընտրության մեջ, եւ ազատության տարբեր ըմբռնումներով հանդերձ` միասնական ըմբռնում ունեն հայրենիքի ու պետ ականության կարեւորության մասին: Այդպես էր արցախյան պատերազմի առաջին իսկ օրերին եւ ողջ ընթացքում, այդպես է ապրիլյան մերօրյա պատերազմի առաջին իսկ օրից:

Ժողովրդավարական պետության եւ քաղաքացիական հասարակության կայացման առումով ազատ խոսքը կարեւորագույն նշանակություն ունի թե՛ զարգացող երկրներում, թե՛ այնտեղ, որտեղից երբեմն գնահատականներ են հնչում այդ երկրներում խոսքի ազատության եւ ժողովրդավարության մակարդակի վերաբերյալ: Ի պատիվ թե՛ մեր հասարակության, թե՛ նրա զարգացման գործընթացի անբաժան մասը հանդիսացող լրատվամիջոցների՝ կարող ենք արձանագրել, որ ազատ խոսքը մեզանում նախընտրելի է եւ գնահատելի, հնչուն եւ ուսանելի:

Եվս մեկ անգամ շնորհավորելով Մամուլի ազատության համաշխարհային օրվա առթիվ՝ մաղթում եմ ձեզ, զանգվածային լրատվամիջոցների հարգելի՛ ներկայացուցիչներ, խաղաղություն, լավատեսություն, բարեկեցություն եւ ամենայն բարիք»:
