Պատահական չէին նաև Հերմինե Նաղդալյանի և Հրանտ Բագրատյանի հայտարարությունները։
Հրանտ Բագրատյանի միջուկային զենք ստեղծելու հնարավորության կամ արդեն իսկ ունենալու մասին հայտարարությունները առավել քան պատահական լինել չեն կարող։ Բագրատյանը լինելով գրագետ և փորձառու քաղաքական գործիչ, չէր կարող նման լուրջ ու վտանգավոր հայտարարություն անել, առանց համապատասխան տեղերի հետ համաձայնեցնելու։ Բագրատյանի՝ Հայաստանի միջուկային հավակնությունների մասին հայտարարությունները, Ադրբեջանի դեմ ուղղված սպառնալիքներ էին, հնարավորինս նրա ագրեսիան կանխելու, ադրբեջանական հասարկության մեջ խուճապ սերմանելու նպատակ ուներ։ Խուճապի մատնված հասարակությունը կփորձեր ճնշում գործադրել Ալիևի վրա պատերազմական գործողությունները դադարեցնելու համար։ Պատկերացրեք մի պահ այդ հայտարարությունը աներ իշխանության որևէ պատասխանատու անդամ։ Միջազգային կառույցների և գերտերությունների ճնշումից Հայաստանը կպայթեր ուղղակի, իսկ Բագրատյանին կարելի է հերքել և տարբեր ձևերով «ֆռացնել» բոլորին։
Այս հայտարարությունը անընդհատ լուսաբանելը, թեկուզ այլ ֆոնի ներքո, վկայում է, որ այն համաձայնեցված է։
Հերմինե Նաղդալյանն էլ այդքան խելք ուներ հասկանալու համար թե ինչ է ասում տարածքների վերադարձի կամ պատկանելիության մասին։ Նրա հայտարարությունը, որը ադրբեջանական մամուլում դարձավ սենսացիա, իրականում միտված էր «ներքին սպառման» համար։ Տարածքների վերադարձման հայտարարությունը նպատակ ուներ շոշափել այդ նուրբ թեմայի շուրջ հանրային տրամադրությունները, որոնք անակնկալ չէին։ Իշխանությունը Նաղդալյանի միջոցով, ում շատ հանգիստ կարելի էր հերքել և իր ասածը առ ոչինչ համարել, քանզի նա ոչ ԱԳՆ, ոչ ՊՆ, ոչ էլ երկրի պաշտոնական տեսակետ հայտնող է, փորձում էր ստուգել տեսնելու համար նման իրադարձությունների դեպքում ինչ զագացումներ են հնարավոր Հայաստանում։
