Ո՞վ ավելի շատ փող ուներ` Ջոն Ռոքֆելե՞րը, թե՞ Չինգիզ Խանը. թվում է հասարակ հարց, որի պատասխանը, սակայն, բարդ է. գրում է Time-ը` ի մի բերելով բոլոր ժամանակների 10 ամենահարուստ մարդկանց:

Աղբյուրը նշում է, որ այս վարկանիշային աղյուսակը կազմված է տնտեսագետների, գիտնականների ու պատմաբանների հետ ծավալուն հարցազրույցների հիման վրա:

Աշխարհի բոլոր ժամանակների ամենահարուստ մարդկանց տասնյակը հետադարձ հաշվարկի սկզբունքով ունի հետևյալ տեսքը`

10. Չինգիզ Խան (1162 - 1227): Բոլոր ժամանակների ամենամեծ շարունակական կայսրության` Մոնղոլական կայսրության տիրակալը, բոլոր ժամանակների ամենահաջողակ առաջնորդներից է: Նրա հարստությունը գնահատվում է ըստ այն անծայրածիր հողերի, որ պատկանել են նրան:

Միևնույն ժամանակ Չինգիզ Խանը առավել քան համեստ է ապրել. իր ու իր ընտանիքի համար նա չի կառուցել ո՛չ տաճար, ո՛չ դամբարան, և ո՛չ էլ անգամ տուն:

 9. Բիլ Գեյթս: 1955-ին ծնված այս ամերիկացին համարվում է կենդանի ամենահարուստ մարդը, կարողությունը` 78,9 մլրդ ԱՄՆ դոլար: Microsoft ընկերության հիմնադիրն է։

 8.Ալան Ռուֆուս (1040 - 1093), Բրիտանիայի թագավոր Ուիլիամ Նվաճողի ազգականը: 11-րդ դարում նրա ունեցած 11.000 ֆունտ կարողությունը 2014-ին հավասարազոր է եղել 194 մլրդ ԱՄՆ դոլարի:

7.Ջոն Դ. Ռոքֆելեր (1839 - 1937) հանրահայտ հրեական ընտանիքի նախնին ժամանակին տնօրինում էր գրեթե ամբողջ ամերիկյան նավթարդյունաբերությունը: Կարողությունը այսօր` 341 մլրդ ԱՄՆ դոլար (1918-ին նա «գնահատվել էր» 1,5 մլրդ դոլար): 

6. Էնդրյու Քարնեգի (1835- 1919), կարողությունը այսօր` 372 մլրդ ԱՄՆ դոլար: Չնայած մամուլի ուշադրությամբ նա զիջում է Ռոքֆելերին, սակայն ըստ աղբյուրի` թերևս բոլոր ժամանակների ամենահարուստ ամերիկացին է:
 

5. Իոսիֆ Ստալին (1878-1953): Ստալինը ամենահարուստների ցուցակում է որպես «բացարձակ իշխանություն ունեցած բռնապետ, որը ղեկավարում էր աշխարհի ամենախոշոր տնտեսությունն ունեցող երկրների մեկը` ԽՍՀՄ»-ը: Ստալինի դեպքում շրջանառվում է 7,5 տրիլիոն ԱՄՆ դոլար (այսօրվա ցուցանիշով)` ըստ համաշխարհային տնտեսական արտադրության մեջ իր 9,5 տոկոս բաժնի, որ ունեցել է ԽՍՀՄ-ը Ստալինի մահից առաջ:
 

 4.Հնդկաստանի Մուղալ դինաստիայի կայսր Աքբարը (1542 - 1605): Նրա կայսրությունն ուներ համաշխարհային ՀՆԱ-ի 25 տոկոսը:

 3.Չինաստանի կայսր Շեն-Ցզունը (1048-1085): Նրա դինաստիան տնտեսապես ամենազորեղ արքայատոհմերից է եղել, վերահսկել է աշխարհի ՀՆԱ-ի 25-30 տոկոսը:

2.Օկտավիանոս Օգոստոս կայսրը (մ.թ.ա  63-մ.թ. 14), կարողությունը` 4,6 տրիլիոն ԱՄՆ դոլար: Ըստ պատմաբանների նրա անձնական կարողությունն իր կայսրության տնտեսության 1/5-րդի չափն ուներ, որն իր հերթին կազմում էր աշխարհի արտադրության 25-30 տոկոսը:

1.Մանսա Մունսան (1280 - 1337), Տիմբուկտուի տիրակալը: Կարողության մասին աղբյուրը գրում է «ավելի հարուստ քան հնարավոր է նկարագրել»: Նա հնարավոր է՝ եղել է պատմության մեջ ոսկու ամենամեծ արտադրությունն ունեցող պետության տիրակալը:
