«Հրապարակ» թերթը գրում է. «Այս օրերին մարդիկ օրինական ու տրամաբանական հարցեր են բարձրացնում՝ ո՞ւր են գնացել պետբյուջեի փողերը, որոնք պետք է ուղղվեին բանակի սպառազինմանն ու սահմանների պաշտպանությանը։ Ինչպե՞ս են ծախսվել այդ նպատակներին ուղղվող վարկերը եւ Ռուսաստանից ստացված զենքը։
Այս ոլորտը, ցավոք, հասանելի չէ լրագրողներին, ուստի հանրությունը բացարձակապես տեղեկացված չէ, թե ինչ է կատարվել պաշտպանության նախարարությունում, հատկապես ֆինանսների ծախսման մասով։ Սա մի մութ անտառ է, որտեղ ոչ ոք մուտք չունի, ուստի կոռուպցիայի ծավալներն էլ ահռելի են։ Անուղղակիորեն այդ մասին են վկայում պատերազմից հետո տեղի ունեցած որոշ իրադարձություններ։
Մասնավորապես, ՀՀ քաղաքացիների ու Սփյուռքի կողմից նախաձեռնված համազգային դրամահավաքը, ԼՂՀ իշխանությունների բացած հաշվեհամարին փոխանցումներ կատարելու անհրաժեշտությունը։
Մյուս փաստը, որը խոսում է բանակում եւ ՊՆ-ում տիրող անմխիթար վիճակի մասին, մի քանի օր առաջ հրապարակված հրամանագիրն էր, որով Սերժ Սարգսյանը, առանց որեւէ պաշտոնական բացատրության, պաշտոնաթող արեց պաշտպանության նախարարի տեղակալ-նյութատեխնիկական ապահովման դեպարտամենտի երկարամյա պետ Ալիկ Միրզաբեկյանին։ Այս փուլում նման պաշտոնազրկումը միմիայն անսպասելիորեն բացահայտված չարաշահումներով կարելի է բացատրել։
Եվ միանգամայն օբյեկտիվ են այն պահանջները, որ միայն պաշտոնից ազատելը բավարար չէ, մարդը պետք է պատասխան տա իր կատարածի համար։ Բանակի փողն ուտելը, պաշտպանության համակարգին ուղղված պետգնումներից ու մրցույթներից «ատկատներ» անելը, զինվորի սննդից, բանակի սպառազինությունից գողանալը պետք է խստորեն պատժվեն։ Դա ներման ենթակա արարք չէ։ Եվ հասարակությունը պետք է տեղեկանա, թե ինչ է կատարվել այդ ոլորտում»:
