 Բրիտանացի կրտսեր բժիշկներն առաջին համընդհանուր գործադուլն են սկսել Անգլիայի առողջապահության ազգային համակարգի (ԱԱՀ) պատմության մեջ, կառավարությունից պահանջելով նոր պարտավորագրերի վերանայում, որոնք նախատեսում են ամառվանից սկսած ավելացնել աշխատաժամերը՝ աշխատավարձի նվազեցմամբ, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը:

Ելնելով նախորդ չորս գործադուլների փորձից, սպասվում Է, որ  դա հատկապես լրջորեն կազդի շտապ բուժօգնության, ինտենսիվ թերապիայի, վերակենդանացման բաժանմունքների եւ ծննդատների աշխատանքի վրա: Առողջապահության նախարարությունում նշել են, որ իշխանությունները միջոցներ են ձեռնարկում բուժհաստատությունների անվտանգության ապահովման համար եւ ուշադիր հետեւելու են իրադրությանը գործադուլի ժամանակ, որը կտեւի Երեւանի ժամանակով ժամը 11:00-ից մինչեւ 20:00-ն: Իսկ եթե բժիշկներին չհաջողվի հասնել իրենց պահանջների կատարմանը, ապա նոր համընդհանուր գործադուլը պ ետք Է անցկացվի ապրիլի 27-ին նույն այդ ժամանակահատվածում:

Բողոքի ակցիայի կապակցությամբ Անգլիայի հիվանդանոցներում հետաձգվել Է 13 հազար վիրահատություն եւ ավելի քան 100 հազար ընդունելություն:

Չնայած բուժհաստատությունների աշխատակիցների վճռական գործողություններին, առողջապահության նախարար Ջերեմի Հանթը BBC կորպորացիայի եթերում արհմիություններին մեղադրել Է գործադուլներով կառավարությանը շանտաժի ենթարկելու մեջ: «Ես չեմ կարծում, որ որեւիցե արհմիություն իրավունք ունի շանտաժի ենթարկել կառավարությանը, նրան ստիպել հրաժարվելու իր ծրագրից, որի օգտին քվեարկել Է Բրիտանիայի ժողովուրդը»,-ասել Է նա:

Առողջապահության նախարարը հանդես Է եկել Անգլիայի ԱԱՀ-ում հնգօրյա  աշխատանքային շաբաթից հրաժարվելու եւ աշխատանքի ամենօրյա գրաֆիկի անցնելու օգտին: «Մենք հպարտանում ենք ԱԱՀ-ով՝ մեր խոշորագույն ինստիտուտներից մեկով, բայց մենք այդ հպարտությունը պետք Է գործի վերածենք եւ անցնենք յոթօրյա աշխատանքային շաբաթի, ինչը մեզ կօգնի այն ամենաբարձրակարգ առողջապահական համակարգը դարձնել աշխարհում»,- հավելել Է Հանթը: 

Ընդամենն Անգլիայում կա մոտավորապես 55 հազար երիտասարդ բժիշկ, Մեծ Բրիտանիայի բժշկական ասոցիացիայի՝ գործադուլի կազմակերպչի անդամներ են 37 հազար բժիշկներ: Բողոքի նախորդ ակցիաների հետեւանքով չեղարկվել են հազարավոր վիրահատություններ եւ հետաձգվել հազարավոր բուժզննումներ ու անալիզներ, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
