Ստամբուլի Գալաթասարայ հրապարակում 1995թ. մայիսի 27-ից հետո ամեն շաբաթ օր կազմակերպվող «Շաբաթօրյա մայրեր» անունը ստացած նստացույցի ժամանակ այս անգամ հարգանքի տուրք է մատուցվել նաև Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհերին: Ցուցարարները հրապարակում ցուցադրել են 1915թ. աքսորված ու սպանված հայ մտավորականների լուսանկարները: Այս մասին տեղեկանում ենք Էրմենիհաբեր.ամ կայքից: 

Նստացույցն ամեն շաբաթ կազմակերպվում է ձերբակալված ու անհետ կորած կամ անհայտ անձանց կողմից սպանված քաղաքացիների հարազատների կողմից՝  նշյալ հանցագործությունների հետաքննության և իրենց հարազատների վերաբերյալ տեղեկություններ տրամադրելու պահանջով:

Թուրքական «evrensel.net» լրատվակայքի տեղեկացմամբ՝ այս շաբաթ նստացույցին մասնակցել են նաև Թուրքիայի ընդդիմադիր «Ժողովրդահանրապետական» կուսակցության (ԺՀԿ-CHP) փոխնախագահ Սեզգին Թանրըքուլուն, հիշատակի միջոցառումներին մասնակցելու նպատակով Թուրքիայում գտնվող Հայկական բարեգործական ընդհանուր միության (AGBU) և Եվրոպական հասարակական հակառասիստական շարժման (EGAM) ներկայացուցիչները, ընդդիմադիր քրդամետ «Ժողովուրդների դեմոկրատական» կուսակցության (ԺԴԿ-HDP) հայ պատգամավոր Գարո Փայլանը:

Ցույցի ընթացքում ելույթ ունեցած պոլսահայ պատգամավոր Գարո Փայլանը հայտարարել է. «Մենք շատ բան չենք պահանջում:  Պահանջում ենք մեր հրազատների աճյունները: Ուզում ենք, որ շիրմաքար դրվի: Այս օրերին նմանատիպ տառապանքներն արդեն սովորական բան են դարձել: Մահը,  բռնությունները, քաղաքների ռմբակոծությունները սովորական բան են դարձել:
