Մեծ Բրիտանիան լավ կաներ լսեր իր գլխավոր գործընկերներից մեկին՝ ԱՄՆ-ին, ու մնար Եվրամիությունում: Այս մասին ասել է ԱՄՆ նախագահ Բարաք Օբաման BBC հեռուստաալիքին տված հարցազրույցում:

«Եթե երկրները, որոնք ձեզ ամենամոտն են ու ամենից շատ են մտաահոգվում ձեր մասին, որոնց հետ դուք ամենաշատն եք համագործակցում ու որոնց հետ հատուկ հարաբերություններ ունեք, համարում են, որ դուք ավելի լավ է մնաք Եվրոպայի հետ ներկա հարաբերություններում, ուրեմն դրան պետք է ուշադրություն դարձնեք»,- ասել է Օբաման:

ԱՄՆ նախագահի կարծիքով Լոնդոնը կկորցնի Եվրոպայում ու աշխարհում իր ազդեցության մի մասը, եթե որոշի գնալ Brexit–ի (British exit՝ Բրիտանիայի դուրս գալը, բառակապակցության կրճատ տարբերակը), իսկ ԱՄՆ-ն շահագրգռված է, որ իր գործընկերն ուժեղ լինի:

Օբամայի խոսքով տնտեսական համագործակցության առումով ԱՄՆ-ն առաջին հերթին շահագրգռված է առեւտրային հաամաձայնագիր ունենալ ԵՄ-ի նման խոշոր բլոկի հետ: Դրա համար էլ, եթե Լոնդոնը որոշի դուրս գալ ԵՄ կազմից, Մեծ Բրիտանիայի՝ որպես առանձին երկրի հետ այս ոլորտում բանակցությունները ԱՄՆ –ի համար առաջնայնություն չեն լինի, փոխանցում է «ՌԻԱ Նովոստին»:

Մեծ Բրիտանիայում հանրաքվեն ծրագրված է հունիսի 23-ին: Քվեարկությանը դրված հարցը հետեւյալ կերպ է ձեւակերպված «Միացյալ Թագավորությունը պետք է մնա Եվրամիության անդա՞մ, թե՞ դուրս գա Եվրամիության կազմից»:
