 ԱՄՆ նախագահ Բարաք Օբաման հայտարարել է, որ առաջնային խնդիր է համարում «Իսլամական պետության» ոչնչացումը: Ահաբեկչական խմբավորումները, ինչպես օրինակ, «Իսլամական պետություն»-ը կամ «Ալ-Քաիդա»-ն, Արևմուտքի համար լուրջ սպառնալիք են ներկայացնում: «Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ այդ մասին գրում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը՝ որպես սկզբնաղբյուր նշելով գերմանական «Bild» թերթը: Օբաման նշել է, որ թե Սիրիայում, թե Իրաքում ԻՊ-ի ազդեցությունը համեմատաբար թուլացել է, սակայն Փարիզում և Բրյուսելում տեղի ունցած ահաբեկչությունները ցույց են տալիս, որ պետք է ավելի շատ ջանք գործադրել՝ նոր հարձակումներից խուսափելու համար:

ԱՄՆ նախագահը կարծիք է հայտնել, որ ահաբեկչությամբ և միգրացիոն ճգնաժամով պայմանավորված՝ Եվրոպայի համար հիմա ծանր շրջան է: Նա նաև ընդգծել է, որ Ռուսաստանի կողմից Ուկրաինայի դեմ ուղղված ագրեսիան սպառնում է միասնական, ազատ և խաղաղ Եվրոպայի մասին պատկերացումներին: «ԱՄՆ-ն կողմնակից է միասնական և ժողովրդավար Եվրոպային»,- շեշտել Բարաք Օբաման է: 
Նա ընդգծել է, որ Միացյալ Նահանգների համար ամենամտերիմ դաշնակիցներից մեկը շարունակում է մնալ Գերմանիան: Այն անփոխարինելի գործընկեր է ինչպես ԱՄՆ-ի, Գեր մանիայի ու ՆԱՏՕ-ի անդամ երկրների անվտանգության ապահովման, այնպես էլ ողջ մարդկության արժանապատվության պաշտպանության հարցերում:

Հարցազրույցում նա նշել է նաև, որ Գերմանիայի Դաշնության կանցլեր Անգելա Մերկելն իր համար մտերիմ գործընկեր և նույնիսկ ընկերուհի է: Օբամայի բնութագրմամբ՝ Մերկելը ղեկավարին հատուկ բազմաթիվ հատկանիշներ ունի, որոնցով ինքը՝ ԱՄՆ նախագահը, հիանում է:
