Ապրիլյան քառօրյա պատերազմի ընթացքում Ադրբեջանի արագ հաջողության հասնելու հաշվարկներից մեկն էլ լրատվամիջոցներում, սոցիալական ցանցերում, քաղաքական որոշ ուժերի, գործիչների, քաղաքացիական ակտիվիստների, օգտատերերի պետության, իշխանությունների, բանակի, արցախցիների, հայաստանցի-ղարաբաղցի արհեստածին ատելության, թշնամանքի, հիասթափության, հակամարտության, հեղափոխական կոչերի վերաբերյալ գրառումները, հարցազրույցներն ու ելույթներն էին: Հաշվարկներից էր նաև հաճախակի հնչող կարծիքը, որ ժողովուրդը այնքան է հիասթափված ամեն ինչից, որ եթե պատերազմ լինի մեծ մասը չի գնա կռվելու:

Մեր ազգը, մեր ժողովուրդը, մեր հանրապետության քաղաքացիները ապացուցեցին, որ ի տարբերություն հարևան քոչվորների, հայ ազգը համախմբվելու, միասնական գործելու մեծ կամք ու հատկություն ունի…Մի կողմ դրվեցին քաղաքական, խմբային, սոցիալական, անձնական հակասությունները, ատելությունն ու թշնամանքը, և մենք մեկ անգամ ևս ցույց տվեցինք, որ այո′ իրոք մենք անկանխատեսելի ազգ ենք, որ այլևս մենք չենք թողնի խաղան մեր ազգի արժանապատվության և մեր երկու հայկական պետությունների ապագայի հետ…
Մնում է այդ աննկուն ոգին ու միասնականությունը, համախմբվածությունը պահենք միշտ՝ հատկապես վճռական ու պատասխանատու իրավիճակներում…
Իսկ լավրովները, քերիները, մնացյալները կգան ու կգնան, բայց ժամանակն է հասկանան, գիտակցեն, որ Հայ ժողովուրդն է իր Պետության, իր պետականության երաշխավորը և Ազգի, Հայրենիքի վճռական, կարևոր հարցերի որոշողն ինքն է, միայն ու միայն ինքը...
Եթե պետք լինի նույնիսկ համազգային հանրաքվեով՝ բռունցքված ու միասնական…
Մենք կհարգենք մեր բարեկամներին, բոլորին՝ և′ Ռուսաստանին, և′ Արևմուտքին, և′ մեր բարեկամ պարսիկներին, արաբներին, մյուսներին, սակայն հարգելով, լավ հարաբերություններ պահելով հանդերձ, երբեք չպետք դա անենք մեր արժանապատվության, մեր հեղինակության, մեր շահերն անտեսելու գնով…
