Գյուղացիական տնտեսություններին աջակցելու նպատակով կառավարությունն ընդունել է 2016թ. գարնանը ջրօգտագործողներին ոռոգման ջուր մատակարարելու մասին որոշում, որով թույլատրվել է «Սևան-Հրազդանյան-ջրառ» և «Ախուրյան-Արաքս-ջրառ» ՓԲԸ-ներին` մինչև մայիսի 1-ը ընկած ժամանակահատվածը ոռոգելի աղակալված հողերի լվացման և խոնավալիցք հաղորդելու նպատակով բացառապես ինքնահոս եղանակով հաշվառված ոռոգման ջուրը մատակարարել առանց հասույթ ձևավորելու:

Մայիս ամսվա ընթացքում գետերի վարարումների հետևանքով հեղեղումները կանխելու նպատակով թույլատրվել է վերոնշյալ ընկերություններին գետերի վարարումները մայր ջրանցքների միջոցով բեռնաթափելու, ինչպես նաև ջրամբարների լցվածության դեպքերում առաջացած ավելցուկային ջրերը ոռոգման նպատակով ջրօգտագործողների ընկերություններին մատակարարել առանց հասույթ ձևավորելու:

Ջրօգտագործողների ընկերություններին առաջարկվել է նաև որոշման 1-ին և 2-րդ կետերով նախատեսված դեպքերում (բացառությամբ մեխանիկական եղանակով մատակարարվող ջրի) մինչև 10 հեկտար հողատարածք ունեցող ջրօգտագործողներին ոռոգման ջուրը մատակարարել անհատույց: Ընդունված որոշումը հնարավորություն կընձեռնի ջրօգտագործողների 80 հազ. հա հողատարածություններին, որից 45 հազ. հա ՀՀ Արարատի և Արմավիրի մարզերում, ոռոգման ջուրը մատակարարել անհատույց:
