Սերժ Թանկյանն «Ավրորա» մրցանակին նվիրված ստեղծագործություն է հեղինակել

«Ավրորա» համաշխարհային մարդասիրական մրցանակի հանձնման ժամանակ կհնչի աշխարհահռչակ երաժիշտ Սերժ Թանկյանի ստեղծագործությունը՝«Ավրորայի երազանքը»: Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին IDeA հիմնադրամից:
«Ավրորա» մրցանակը կշնորհվի Երեւանում, 2016 թվականի ապրիլի 24-ին: Մրցանակն սկիզբ է առել 100 LIVES նախաձեռնությունից, որի հիմքում Հայոց ցեղասպանության ընթացքում մարդկային կյանքերի փրկության եւ հերոսության ոգեշնչող պատմություններ են:
Այս թեման հոգեհարազատ է Թանկյանին, քանի որ նրա ընտանիքը չէր փրկվի առանց ամերիկացի միսիոներների, որոնց հիմնած մանկատանն է մեծացել նրա պապիկը: Թանկյանի մորական տատիկը՝ Վարսենիկը, կոտորածներից փրկվել էր թուրք մայորի խիզախության շնորհիվ, որն իր կյանքը վտանգեց նրան ու նրա ընտանիքը թաքցնելու համար: Այդ թուրքը հրաժարվեց կատարել կառավարության՝ հայերին սպանելու եւ արտաքսելու հրամանները. նրա նման ազնիվ շատ մարդիկ սպանվեցին՝ Օսմանյան իշխանություններին չենթարկվելու պատճառով:
«Վերջին տարիների ընթացքում բոլոր իմ ստեղծած երգերից «Ավրորայի երազանքը» ամենասիրելին է: Ես ուրախ եմ, որ այն ստեղծվել է 100 LIVES եւ «Ավրորա» մրցանակ նախաձեռնության համար, որը հիանալի գործեր է անում՝ ուշադրություն հրավիրելով ավերիչ ողբերգությունների վրա եւ կարեւորելով այդ իրադրությանն արձագանքող իրական հերոսներին»,- նոր երգի մասին ասել է Սերժ Թանկյանը:
100 LIVES եւ «Ավրորա» մրցանակ նախաձեռնության ղեկավար Արման Ջիլավյանը նշել է. «Մենք շնորհակալ ենք Սերժին՝ իր արվեստով մեր նախաձեռնությանը նպաստելու համար: Այս հիանալի ստեղծագործությունը նրա խոնարհումն է Ավրորային՝ այն կնոջը, որի անունով է կոչվում մրցանակը: Նա առաջիններից էր, որ աշխարհում բարձրաձայնեց 1915 թվականին տեղի ունեցած վայրագությունների եւ իր փրկության մասին: «Ավրորա» մրցանակի միջոցով մենք ուզում ենք բարձրաձայնել այն հերոսների մասին, որոնք այսօր են խիզախաբար կյանքեր են փրկում ամբողջ աշխարհում»:
