Բոննի կոնվերսիայի միջազգային կենտրոնի 2015թ. զեկույցի համաձայն` Հայաստանը աշխարհի երրորդ ռազմականացված երկիրն է: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, ըստ «Համաշխարհային ռազմականացվածության ինդեքս 2015»-ի, աշխարհի ամենառազմականավցած երկիրն Իսրայելն է, որին հաջորդում է Սինգապուրը: Երրորդ ամենառազմականացված երկիրը Հայաստանն է, որին ինդեքսի տասնյակում հաջորդում են Հորդանանը, Հարավային Կորեան, Ռուսաստանը, Կիպրոսը, Ադրբեջանը, Քուվեյթը և Հունաստանը: Զեկույցում նշվում է, որ ինդեքսի առաջին տասնյակում հայտնված երկրներում ռազմական ոլորտի ծախսերը խստորեն կանոնակարգված են և կարևորվում են՝ ի տարբերություն այլ ոլորտների:
Ինդեքսն արտացոլում է երկրում ռազմական համակարգի կարևորությունն ու կշիռը: Բոննի կոնվերսիայի միջազգային կենտրոնն աշխարհի 152 երկրների դասակարգել է մի քանի չափանիշներով, որոնք են երկրի ռազմական ոլորտի ծախսերի և անձնակազմի կամ ընդհանուր քաղաքացիական ոլորտի ծախսերի և անձնակազմի համեմատությունները, զորքերի, ծանր սպառազինության ու բնակչության քանակի հարաբերությունը:
Նշվում է, որ 2015թ. Հայաստանի ՀՆԱ-ի 5.8 տոկոսն ուղղվել է ռազմական ծախսերին: Ադրբեջանի դեպքում էլ երկրի ՀՆԱ-ի 5.8 տոկոսն ուղղվել է ռազմական ծախսերին, սակայն Հայաստանն առաջ է 1000 բնակչի հաշվով զինվորականների թվով:
Չինաստանը և ԱՄՆ-ն, որոնք ռազմական ծախսերի առումով համաշխարհային առաջնորդներ են համարվում, տասնյակում տեղ չեն գտել, քանի որ տասնյակում տեղ գտած երկրների հետ ՀՆԱ-ում ռազմական ծախսերին հատկացվող միջոցների, ինչպես նաև 1000 բնակչին բաժին ընկնող զինվորականների թվի համեմատությունը բոլորովին այլ արդյունք է ցույց տալիս: Այնուամենայնիվ, այդ երկրները շարունակում են իրենց զինված ուժերը զարգացնելու և արդիականացնելու միտումը:
Զեկույցում անդրադարձ է կատարվել նաև ամենառազմականացված տարածաշրջաններին: Նշվում է, որ ամենառազմականացվածը Մերձավոր Արևելքն է: Սա կապված է նրա հետ, որ տարածաշրջանում շարունակվում են մի շարք հակամարտություններ՝ իսրայելա-պաղեստինյան հակամարտությունը, Եմենի պատերազմը, Սիրիայում պատերազմը, ինչպես նաև տարածաշրջանի համար լուրջ սպառնալիք հանդիսացող «Իսլամական պետություն» ահաբեկչական խմբավորման առկայությունը:
Նշվում է, որ Եվրոպայում ևս ռազմականացվածության մակարդակը բարձր է՝ կապված Ուկրաինայի հակամարտության, ինչպես նաև Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև սպառազինությունների մրցավազքի հետ, որի պատճառը Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտությունն է: Զեկույցում ասվում է, որ Հայաստանը և Ադրբեջանը, պայմանավորված Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտությամբ, մեծ ռեսուրսներ են ներդնում երկրների զինված ուժերն ընդլայնելու և արդիականացնելու համար:
