Լրագրողներ առանց սահմանների (Reporters Without Borders) կազմակերպությունը հրապարակել է աշխարհում ազատ մամուլի նոր ինդեքսը, որում Հայաստանը 4 հորիզոնականով բարելավել է իր դիրքերը: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, Հայաստանը 180 երկրների շարքում (որտեղ առաջին տեղը զբաղեցրել է լավագույն ցուցանիշն ունեցող երկիրը) զբաղեցրել է 74-րդ հորիզոնականÕ ¨:
Կազմակերպությունը նշել է, որ հայաստանյան տպագիր լրատվամիջոցները զանազան են և բևեռացված, հետաքննական ժուռնալիստիկան համացանցում նկատելիորեն դրական աճ է գրանցել, սակայն բազմակարծությունը հեռարձակվող լրատվամիջոցներում հետ է մնում: Ինդեքսում Հայաստանը ներկայացված է խնդրահարույց երկրների շարքում:
Հայաստանի հարևան Վրաստանը ևս բարելավել է իր դիրքերը` նախկին 69-ի փոխարեն զբաղեցնելով 65-րդ հորիզոնականը: Իրանը զբաղեցրել է 169-րդ հորիզոնականը (նախկին 173-ի փոխարեն): Թուրքիան և Ադրբեջանը նահանջել են` զբաղեցնելով, համապատասխանաբար, 151-րդ (նախկին 149-ի) և 163-րդ (նախկին 162-ի փոխարեն) հորիզոնականները:
Ռուսաստանը զբաղեցրել է 148-րդ հորիզոնականը (նախկին 152-ի փոխարեն), ԱՄՆ-ն` 41-րդ (նախկին 49-ի փոխարեն), Ֆրանսիան 45-րդ (նախկին 38-ի փոխարեն), Մեծ Բրիտանիան` 38-րդ (նախկին 34-ի փոխարեն):
Ամենաազատ մամուլն ունեցող երկրների տասնյակում են Ֆինլանդիան, Նիդերլանդները, Նորվեգիան, Դանիան, Նոր Զելանդիան, Կոստա Ռիկան, Շվեյցարիան, Շվեդիան, Իռլանդիան և Ճամայկան: Վատագույն ցուցանիշն ունեն Չինաստանը, Սիրիան, Թուրքմենստանը, Հյուսիսային Կորեան և Էրիտրեան:
Հայաստանի հանրապետական կուսակցության փոխնախագահ Արմեն Աշոտյանը ինդեքսի հրապարակումից հետո արձանագրել է, որ առկա խնդիրներով հանդերձ Հայաստանը շրջանցել է մի շարք ԵՄ անդամ պետությունների (Իտալիա, Կիպրոս, Հունաստան, Բուլղարիա), «թավշյա հեղափոխության» ենթարկված Ուկրաինային և կայուն ժողովրդավարություն ունեցող Իսրայելին: «Արևելյան Գործընկերության երկրներից մենք դեռ զիջում ենք միայն Վրաստանին: Ազատ մամուլը հանրային բարիք է»,- ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում նշել է Աշոտյանը:
