Սիրիայի ծովափնյա շրջանների հայությանը հյուպատոսական ծառայություններ մատուցելու նպատակով ապրիլի 15-18-ը Հալեպում ՀՀ գլխավոր հյուպատոս Տիգրան Գևորգյանն աշխատանքային այցով մեկնեց Լաթաքիա և Քեսաբ: Այցի ընթացքում գլխավոր հյուպատոսը հանդիպեց տեղի ազգային իշխանությունների ներկայացուցիչներին, որոնց հետ հանգամանորեն քննարկեց համայնքին հու զող խնդիրների լայն շրջանակ:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության մամուլի, տեղեկատվության եւ հասարակայնության հետ կապի վարչությունից, Հալեպում ՀՀ գլխավոր հյուպատոսության աշխատակիցները Լաթաքիայի Հայոց Ազգային Առաջնորդարանում և Քեսաբի Սուրբ Աստվածածին եկեղեցում տեղի հայության համար անցկացրին հյուպատոսական ընդունելություն, որի ընթացքում հանձնվեցին ՀՀ քաղաքացու՝ մի քանի տասնյակից ավելի անձնագրեր, ինչպես նաև ընդունվեցին 120-ից ավելի քաղաքացիության նոր դիմումներ:

Ապրիլի 18-ին Տիգրան Գևորգյանը Քեսաբի Սուրբ Աստվածածին եկեղեցու «Սահակյան» սրահում քեսաբահայության հոծ բազմության ներկայությամբ Քեսաբի քաղաքապետ Վազգեն Չափարյանին հանձնեց ՀՀ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանի կողմից շնորհված «Մխիթար Գոշ» շքանշանը:

Շնորհավորելով քաղաքապետին՝ հյուպատոս Գևորգյանը շեշտեց, որ սիրիահայության խնդիրները մշտապես մնում են Հայաստանի Հանրապետության իշխանությունների ուշադրության կենտրոնում:

Քեսաբի քաղաքապետը, շնորհակալություն հայտնելով ՀՀ Նախագահի կողմից նման բարձր պարգևի արժանանալու համար, նշեց, որ այդ շքանշանը ոչ միայն իրենն է, այլ ողջ քեսաբահայությանը:
