Այս գիշեր վերադարձել են Եվրոպայի առաջնության թիմային հաշվարկում հաղթած ծանրամարտի կանանց և տղամարդկանց Հայաստանի հավաքականները, որոնց դիմավորելու էր եկել նաև Հայաստանի ազգային օլիմպիական կոմիտեի նախագահ Գագիկ Ծառուկյանը:
Նա նշել է, որ մեր մարզիկների հաղթանակն ամբողջ հայ ժողովրդի հաղթանակն է. «Ամենակարևորը սա ոչ միայն սպորտային, այլ նաև բարոյական հաղթանակ էր: Այս պատերազմող ժամանակահատվածում, երբ ամբողջ աշխարհի ուշադրության կենտրոնում էինք, մեր մարզիկները կարողացան Եվրոպայում և Թուրքիայում բարոյական հաղթանակ տանել, ցույց տալ ազգի հզորությունը, ուժը, ցույց տալ, որ հայ ազգը միասնական է և կարող է գերպետությունների, ինչպիսին են Ռուսաստանը, Ֆրանսիան, Չեխիան, Թուրքիան, ոչ միայն թիմային, այլ նաև անհատական պայքարում հաղթել:
Սա մեծ հաղթանակ էր մեր ազգի համար, որը ոգևորեց մեր ժողովրդին և աշխարհին ցույց տվեց, որ երբ հայ ազգը միասնական է, միշտ հաղթում է»,- ասաց Ծառուկյանը:
