ՀՀ ԱԺ փոխնախագահ Էդուարդ Շարմազանովն ապրիլի 13-ին ընդունել է Հունաստանի Հանրապետության խորհրդարանի պատգամավոր Գարիֆալիա Կանելլիին: Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ ԱԺ տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչությունից, ողջունելով հյուրին՝ ԱԺ փոխնախագահ Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը բարձր է գնահատել դարերի պատմություն ունեցող հայ-հունական հարաբերությունները եւ փաստել, որ այդ մասին է վկայում նաեւ հույն պատգամավորի այցը Լեռնային Ղարաբաղ եւ Հայաստան:

Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել Գարիֆալիա Կանելլիին՝ այս ծանր եւ դժվարին օրերին հայ ժողովրդի կողքին լինելու եւ եղբայրական ձեռք մեկնելու համար, ինչը, ըստ նրա, ժողովրդավարության եւ մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանության վառ օրինակ է: ԱԺ փոխնախագահը կարեւորել է Գարիֆալիա Կանելլիի՝ ԼՂՀ կատարած այցը՝ այն գնահատելով ղարաբաղա-ադրբեջանական վերջին իրադարձությունների վերաբերյալ սեփական կարծիք ձեւավորելու տեսանկյունից: Անդրադառնալով հույն պատգամավորի՝ Ադրբեջանի «սեւ ցուցակում» հայտնվելու հանգամանքին՝ ԱԺ փոխնախագահը տա րօրինակ եւ անընդունելի է համարել 21-րդ դարում մարդու, առավել եւս՝ ԵԽԽՎ պատգամավորի տեղաշարժի սահմանափակումը: Նա հույս է հայտնել, որ Գարիֆալիա Կանելլին եվրոպացի եւ հույն գործընկերներին կներկայացնի Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում տեղի ունեցած իրադարձությունների իրական պատկերը: ԱԺ փոխնախագահը կարեւորել է հույն պատգամավորի այն դիրքորոշումը, ըստ որի՝ դատապարտելի են զոհերի պատճառ հանդիսացող իրադարձությունները, ինչպես նաեւ խնդրի վերաբերյալ երկակի ստանդարտների կիրառումը:

Շնորհակալություն հայտնելով ջերմ ընդունելության համար՝ Գարիֆալիա Կանելլին անդրադարձել է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղ կատարած այցին եւ անթույլատրելի համարել ուրիշի շահերի համար մարդկային կյանքերի կործանումը: Նա վստահեցրել է, որ կանի հնարավորը՝ դադարեցնելու համար ադրբեջանական ագրեսիան եւ անմեղ կյանքերի զոհաբերումը:

Անդրադառնալով Ծիծեռնակաբերդի հուշահամալիր եւ Եռաբլուր պանթեոն կատարած այցերին՝ տիկին Կանելլին կարեւորել է ցեղասպանությունների դատապարտումը, քանի որ, ըստ նրա՝ չդատապարտված հանցանգործությունները լի են կրկնության վտանգով: Նա անհրաժեշտ է համարել համատեղել ջանքերը՝ միասնաբար պայքարելու մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանության եւ դրանց իրացման համար:
