 Թուրքական Սամսուն քաղաքում ընթացող օլիմպիական խաղերի վարկանիշային մրցաշարում Հայաստանի ներկայացուցիչները հաղթանակներ են տոնել: «Արմենպրես»-ը հայտնում է, որ բռնցքամարտիկներ Արթուր Հովհաննիսյանը (49 կգ) և Նարեկ Աբգարյանը (52 կգ) հաջողությամբ հաղթահարել են առաջին փուլի արգելքը, իսկ ահա եվրոպական մրցաշարում իր 2-րդ մենամարտ ն անցկացնող 64 կգ քաշային Հովհաննես Բաչկովը, հաղթահարելով իտալացի մրցակցի արգելքը, անցել է քառորդ եզրափակիչ փուլ:

Հովհաննիսյանին դիմակայել է Բուլղարիայի ներկայացուցիչ Տինկո Բանաբակովը, ում հաղթահարելը ամենևին էլ բարդ գործ չէր 49 կգ քաշային հայ բռնցքամարտիկի համար: 52 կգ քաշային Աբգարյանին փորձել է դիմակայել Լեհաստանի ներկայացուցիչ Մացեյ Յոժվիկը, սակայն հայ բռնցքամարտիկը չի զիջել մրցակցին՝ հաջորդ փուլի ուղեգիր նվաճելով: Ինչ վերաբերում է մրցաշարում 2-րդ մենամարտն անցկացնող 64 կգ քաշային Բաչկովին, ապա նա էլ առավելության է հասել Իտալիան ներկայացնող Վինչենցո Արեչիայի նկատմամբ: Իրենց հաջորդ մենամարտերը բռնցքամարտիկները կանցկացնեն ապրիլի 13-ին: ՆոÖ �յն օրը ռինգ դուրս կգա նաև 51 կգ քաշային Անուշ Գրիգորյանը, ով ևս հաղթահարել էր մրցաշարում իր համար 2-րդ մենամարտի արգելքը:

Հայաստանը ներկայացնող բռնցքամարտիկներից ապրիլի 12-ին ռինգ դուրս կգան 56 կգ քաշային Արամ Ավագյանը, 69 կգ քաշային Վլադիմիր Մարգարյանը, 75 կգ քաշային Արման Հովհիկյանը և 81 կգ քաշային Նիկոլ Արությունովը:
