VIDEOՇփման գծում սկսված ռազմական գործողությունները շահումյանցիների շրջանում խուճապ չեն առաջացրել. նրանք ապրում են իրենց առօրյայով, զբաղվում գյուղատնտեսական աշխատանքով եւ հպարտանում հայ զինվորի հաջողություններով: Artsakh.tv-ի հետ զրույցում Շահումյանի շրջանի Եղեգնուտ գյուղի բնակիչ Ժաննա Մանուկյանը նշել է, որ եղեգնուտցիները շփման գծում սկսված ռազմագործողությունների առաջին իսկ օրվանից ոչ մի բանից չեն վախեցել, գյուղի բնակիչները զգոն են, ամեն ինչ անում են հայ զինվորի կողքին լինելու եւ օգնելու համար:
«Ես որպես զինվորի մայր, ինձ նույնպես զինվորական եմ համարում, ես ոգեշնչված եմ որպես հայրենիքի պաշտպան, առաջին իսկ օրվանից ոչ մի բանից չենք վախեցել: Մենք շարունակելու ենք այստեղ ապրել եւ շենացնել մեր հողերը, օգնել մեր զինվորներին»,-ասել է նա` նշելով, որ եղեգնուտցիները միշտ էլ զգոն են եւ պատրաստ անհրաժեշտության դեպքում կռվել թշնամու դեմ:
Եղեգնուտ գյուղում են նաեւ ժամանակավորապես ապրում Մարտակերտից տարհանված մի քանի բնակչ, որոնք օր առաջ ուզում են վերադառնալ Մարտակերտ եւ շենացնել այն:
«Պիտի հասնենք մեր տուն, ուրիշ տեղ չունենք, մեր տունը մեր Մարտակերտն է»,-ասել է բնակիչներից Սվետլանա Առստամյանը:
