Արցախում զոհված հերոսների սգացող մայրերին իրենց ցավն են միացնում սահմանին տարբեր տարիների թշնամու գնդակի զոհ դարձած հայորդիների մայրերն ու իրենք էլ հիշում բանակից չվերադարձած իրենց երեխաներին:

«Երբ իմ տղան զոհվեց, ես ասեցի՝ վերջինը լինի, բայց անընդհատ կրկնվում է էս ցավը: Մեր զավակները իհարկե հայրենիքի համար են զոհվում, բայց ես՝ որպես մայր և սգող մայր, չէի ուզենա նման կորուստ ունենամ, ու չէի ուզենա, որ կրկնվեր: Շատ ծանր է, սարսափելի, չգիտեմ, չեմ կարող խոսել, որովհետև մայրական ցավը անպատասխան է, երբեք մայրը չի կարող հասկանալ, թե ինչու է որդի կորցնում՝ թեկուզ հենց հայրենիքի համար: Թող Աստված կանգնի մեր ազգի կողքին՝ մենք զոհեր չունենանք, զավակ չկորցնենք: Մեր որդիները անփորձանք վերադառնան, բոլորը՝ ժամկետայինն էլ, պայմանագրայինն էլ, ծառայողն էլ, որովհետև նրանց բոլորին կանայք են սպասում, մայրեր ու երեխաներ: Մայիս ամիսը միշտ հաղթանակների, տոնի ամիս է եղել հայ ազգի համար, բայց այսօր հայ մայրը չի ուզում մայիսը գա, չի ուզում, որովհետև իր որդին չի վերադառնալու: Քանի՜ որդիներ չեն վերադառնալու մայիսին, ինչպես ենք տոնելու մայիսի տոնը, ինչպես ենք ուրախանալու, չգիտեմ»,-ասում է 2010-ին Արցախում զոհված ժամկետային զինծառայողի մայրը, որի որդուն Բանակի օրը հանձնել են հողին:

«Երեք ամիս էր մնում, որ տուն գար, նոյեմբերին պետք է գար: Ես մինչև հիմա սպասում եմ նոյեմբերին, որ տուն վերադառնա…»,-ասում է զինվորի մեկ այլ որդեկորույս մայր:
