«Հայկական ժամանակ» թերթը գրում է. «Վաղուց էր հայտնի, որ ՌԴ վարչապետ Դմիտրի Մեդվեդեւի երեւանյան այցի ժամանակ կհայտարարվի Հայաստանին մատակարարվող ռուսական գազի նոր գնի մասին: Հայտարարվեց: Հովիկ Աբրահամյանը լրագրողներին ասաց. «Գազի գինը ստորագրեցինք 150 դոլար, 165 դոլարի փոխարեն»: Այսպիսով, Հայաստանը ռուսական գազի յուրաքանչյուր 1000 խմ-ի դիմաց այսուհետ վճարելու է 15 դոլարով կամ 9 տոկոսով պակաս գումար:
Արդարացա՞ն արդյոք մեր սպասելիքները, կշահե՞ն արդյոք մեր բնակչությունն ու տնտեսությունը: Գազի գնի այս նվազեցումը մի քանի ուշագրավ դետալներ է պարունակում: Ռուսական գազն էժանացնելու մասին բանակցությունները սկսվել են դեռ անցած տարվա աշնանը: ՀՀ կառավարությունը հույս ուներ, որ գազը կէժանանա այս տարվա հունվարի 1-ից, սակայն ռուսական կողմն անընդհատ հետաձգում էր իր վերջնական որոշումը:
Սա ուշագրավ է նրանով, որ եղանակի տաքանալուն զուգընթաց գազի սպառումը Հայաստանում կտրուկ ընկնում է մի քանի անգամ: Իսկ սա նշանակում է, որ ոչ բնակչությունը, եւ ոչ էլ տնտեսությունը այս էժանացումը չեն զգալու մինչեւ հաջորդ ձմեռ: Բացի այդ, մեր ունեցած տեղեկություններով, ՀՀ կառավարությունն ակնկալում էր գազի գնի ավելի մեծ «սկիդկա»:
