Ռուսաստանը մեր ռազմավարական դաշնակիցն է, մենք ՀԱՊԿ անդամ երկրներն ենք, եւ մեզ համար իրոք ցավալի է, որ Ռուսաստանն ու ոչ միայն Ռուսաստանը, այլ նաեւ այդ նույն կազմակերպությունում մյուս անդամները զենք են վաճառում Ադրբեջանին։ Այս մասին ապրիլի 6-ին՝ Բեռլինում Գերմանիայի կանցլեր Անգելա Մերկելի հետ համատեղ ասուլիսի ժամանակ, ասել է ՀՀ նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը՝ հավելելով, որ այդ գործընթացի վրա ազդելու Հայաստանի հնարավորությունները սահմանափակ են։
«Ադրբեջանը ժամանակակից զենք ունի, եւ եռօրյա ռազմական գործողությունները ցույց տվեցին, որ նա դրանք օգտագործում է։ Սակայն ուժը զենքի արդիականության եւ տանկերի մեջ չէ, այլ այն հավատի, որն ունի Ղարաբաղի եւ առհասարակ հայ ժողովուրդը։ Հավատն առ այն, որ հայրենիքը պետք է պաշտպանել։ Այո, մենք կռվում ենք հիմնականում 1980-ական թվականների զենքով, սակայն եռօրյա կոնֆլիկտը ցույց տվեց, որ մենք դրանով կռվել գիտենք, եւ տեսնում եք, թե ինչ կորուստներ ունի ադրբեջանական կողմը եւ ինչ՝ մենք։
Տեսնում եք, թե ինչպես մեր հասարակությունը իրեն դրսեւորեց։ Ադրբեջանում դուք կորուստների մասին ինֆորմացիա չեք գտնի։ Եռօրյա լարվածությունը ցույց տվեց, որ լավագույն հասարակությունները նաեւ լավ կռվել գիտեն»,-ընդգծել է Սերժ Սարգսյանը:
