Ռուսական կողմի նախաձեռնությամբ ապրիլի 5-ին ՌԴ նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինը հեռախոսազրույց է ունեցել Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի նախագահներ Սերժ Սարգսյանի և Իլհամ Ալիևի հետ: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, այս մասին հաղորդում է Կրեմլի մամուլի ծառայությունը:
Մանրամասն քննարկվել է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության գոտում ստեղծված իրավիճակը: Խորը մտահոգություն հայտնելով բազմաթիվ զոհերի հանգեցրած լայնամասշտաբ ռազմական գործողությունների առնչությամբ՝ Վլադիմիր Պուտինը կոչ է արել երկու կողմերին անմիջապես ապահովել ռազմական գործողությունների ամբողջական դադարեցում և հրադադարի ռեժիմի պահպանում: Նշվել է, որ Ռուսաստանն իրականացնում է և շարունակելու է իրականացնել անհրաժեշտ միջնորդական քայլեր, որոնք ուղղված են իրավիճակի կայունացմանը:
Ընդգծվել է նաև Երևանի և Բաքվի միջև Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության խաղաղ կարգավորման նպատակով, ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի աջակցությամբ, բանակցությունների վերսկսման կարևորությունը: Պայմանավորվածություն է ձեռք բերվել տարբեր ձևաչափերում շարունակել շփումները:
