Ներկայացնում ենք թերթի խմբագրականից մի հատված.
«Եթե ժամանակին Արցախը զինված ինքնապաշտպանություն չկազմակերպեր, նրա բնակչության հետ կլիներ այն, ինչ մի քանի օր առաջ տեղի ունեցավ Թալիշ գյուղի բնակիչների հետ։ Ակնկալել ներկայիս Ադրբեջանից այլ վերաբերմունք՝ նույնն Է, թե սպասել «Իսլամական պետության» գրոհայիններից, որ նրանք գթասիրտ կգտնվեն քրիստոնյաների, բրդերի, եզդիների, շիաների նկատմամբ։ Կամ՝ երիտթուրքերի կառավարությունից սպասել, որ նրանք կխնայեին հայերին։
Մենք իրավունք ունենք բանի տեղ չդնելու, այսպես կոչված, «միջազգային հանրությանը»։ Ինձ թվում է՝ այո։ Եթե խաղաղության կոչ անողներից որևէ մեկն իսկապես խաղաղություն ուզեր, նա կդիմեր պատերազմը վերսկսած Ադրբեջանին, որ նա դադարեցնի իր նկրտումները։ Բայց քանի որ ոչ մեկը նման բան չի պատրաստվում անել, մենք էլ կարող ենք ոչ մեկի հետ առանձնապես հաշվի չնստել և անել այն, ինչ մեզ է պետք։ Իհարկե, նման բան կարող եմ ես ասել՝ պետական պաշտոնյաները, դիվանագետները՝ չեն կարող։ Կարելի է չասել, բայց անել։
Հայաստանն ու Արցախը դրսում ոչ մի ռազմավարական կամ նույնիսկ մարտավարական դաշնակից չունեն։ Փոխարենն այդ երկու պետություններն ունեն շատ հզոր ներքին դաշնակիցներ։ Նրանք այն երիտասարդներն են, որոնք իրենց հստակ պատասխանն են տալիս հակառակորդի ոտնձգություններին։ Նրանքայն արցախցիներն են, որոնք այդ ոտնձգություններին նայում են շատ հանգիստ, նույնիսկ, իմ տպավորությամբ, թեթև արհամարհանքով, և ամեն մեկը զբաղված է իր գործով։ Նրանք այն հազարավոր հայերն են, ովքեր հերթ են կանգնում՝ ռազմաճակատ գնալու համար։ Հայաստանի և Արցախի այս դաշնակիցները շատ ավելի հզոր են, քան ամենահզոր գերտերությունները, և ավելի վտանգավոր են հակառակորդի համար, քան ամենաժամանակակից զենքը։ Այս օրերին ևս ճեկ անգամ դրանում համոզվեցինք»,–գրում է թերթի խմբագիրը։
