Ղարաբաղա-ադրբեջանական հակամարտ զորքերի շփման գծի ողջ երկայնքով ընթանում են թեժ մարտեր: Ղարաբաղյան ուժերը հակառակորդին պատճառելով զգալի կենդանի ուժի եւ զինտեխնիկայի կորուստներ՝ մարտագծի հյուսիսարեւելյան եւ հարավարեւելյան ուղղություններով նախաձեռնությունը վերցրել են իրենց ձեռքը: Ռազմական գործողությունների ընթացքում հակառակորդը հյուսիսարեւելյան ուղղությամբ կորցրել է 3 տանկ, իսկ հարավարեւելյան ուղղությամբ՝ 2 տանկ:
Ապրիլի 3-ի լույս 4-ի գիշերը շփման գծի ամբողջ երկայնքով հակառակորդը ականանետերից ու հրանոթներից շարունակել է արկակոծել Պաշտպանության բանակի առաջնային դիրքերն ու մերձակա հայկական բնակավայրերը:
Առավոտյան ժամը 7:00-ի սահմաններում առավել ինտենսիվ հրետակոծություններ են սկսվել շփման գոտու հարավարեւելյան եւ հյուսիսարեւելյան ուղղություններով: Ադրբեջանական բանակը կիրառում է 152 միլիմետրանոց հրանոթներ, «Գրադ» կայանքներ եւ տանկեր:
Կեսգիշերին մոտ Facebook-ի իր էջում ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարի մամուլի խոսնակ Արծրուն Հովհաննիսյանը գրել էր, որ հայկական ստորաբաժանումները ռազմաճակատի որոշ հատվածներում լուրջ առաջխաղացում ունեն՝ ազատագրելով նորանոր դիրքեր ու բնագծեր։

Ապրիլի 3-ին Ստեփանակերտ ժամանած կամավորների հետ հանդիպել է Արցախի Հանրապետության վարչապետ Արայիկ Հարությունյանը: Նա նշել է, որ շփման գծում լարվածության վերջին օրերին աջակցության բազմաթիվ զանգեր են ստացել սփյուռքից։ «Ավստրալիայից մինչեւ Կանադա, Արգենտինայից մինչեւ Նովոսիբիրսկ ստանում ենք զանգեր կամավորների, բարեգործների կողմից, բոլորը մեզ հետ են»,- ասել է վարչապետը:
