 Արցախի Ազատամարտիկների միության շենքի առջև ապրիլի 2-ի վաղ առավոտից հավաքվել են բազմաթիվ ազատամարտիկներ և երիտասարդներ՝ ցանկություն հայտնելով անհապաղ մեկնել առաջնագիծ: «Արցախպրես»-ի թղթակցի հետ զրույցում ԱԱՄ վարչության աշխատակից Ալվարո Շեկյանը տեղեկացրել է, որ արդեն հարյուրավոր կամավոր ազատամարտիկներ են գրանցվել հենց հիմա առաջնագիծ մեկնելու համար: «Մենք բոլորս կազմ-պատրաստ սպասում ենք ԼՂՀ ՊԲ հրամանատարության կո չին և անհրաժեշտության դեպքում անհապաղ կմեկնենք առաջնագիծ: Իմ կարծիքով` թշնամական հերթական ագրեսիան է մեր դեմ: Սակայն այժմ ոչինչ նրանց չի կարող փրկել մեզանից: Չեմ հասկանում քանի անգամ պիտի պարտվեն, որպեսզի վերջապես հասկանան, որ իրենք թույլ են, կռվող չեն և չեն կարող մեզ հաղթե»,-ասել է ազատամարտիկը:

Ապրիլի 1-ի լույս 2-ի գիշերը և առավոտյան հակառակորդը ղարաբաղա-ադրբեջանական հակամարտ զորքերի շփման գծի ողջ երկայնքով ձեռնարկել է լայնածավալ նախահարձակ գործողություններ, որոնց ընթացքում հրթիռահրետանային արկակոծման են ենթարկվում ոչ միայն հայկական զինուժի պաշտպանական դիրքերը, այլև խաղաղ բնակավայրերը: Ըստ ՊԲօպերատիվ տվյալների, ադրբեջանական զինուժի կողմից ապրիլի 2-ին ժամը 08:30-ի սահմաններում Մարտունու պաշտպանական ուղղությամբ ՄՄ-21 («Գրադ») կայանքից իրականացված հրթիռահրետակոծության հետևանքով սպանվել է 2004թ. ծնված Վաղինակ Թաթուլի Գրիգորյանը, ևս երկու երեխա վիրավորվել են: ՊԲ առաջապահ ստորաբաժանումները պաշտպանական հաջող մարտեր են իրականացնում առաջնային գծի բոլոր ուղղություններով՝ հակառակորդին պատճառելով կենդանի ուժի և զինտեխնիկայի զգալի կորուստներ:

ԼՂՀ պաշտպանության նախարարությունը հայտարարում է ադրբեջանական կողմի նոր ռազմատեխնիկայի ոչնչացման մասին: Առավել թեժ մարտեր են ընթանում արդեն ռազմաճակատի վերածված առաջնային գծի հարավային (Հադրութ) և հյուսիսարևելյան (Մարտակերտ) ուղղություններով: Հաստատված տվյալներով ղարաբաղյան ուժերը մարտագծի հարավարևելյան ճակատում շարքից հանել են 2 տանկ, հյուսիսարևելյան ուղղությամբ՝ 1 տանկ և 1 անօդաչու թռչող սարք: Այս հաղորդագրությունը պատրաստման ընթացքում էր, երբ հայտնի դարձավ, որ ժամը 12:30-ի սահմաններում ՊԲ հակաօդայինների կողմից հարավարևելյան ուղղությամբ խոցվել է թշնամու ևս մեկ ռազմական ուղղաթիռ, իսկ հյուսիսարևելյան ուղղությամբ՝ 1 անօդաչու սարք: Մեկ ուղղաթիռ էլ ոչնչացվել էր ավելի վաղ:
