Տարեսկզբից Միջերկրական ծովով Եվրոպա են ժամանել շուրջ 170 հազար միգրանտներ

2016 թվականի հունվարի 1-ից մինչեւ մարտի 30-ը Միջերկրական ծովով Եվրոպա են ժամանել 169 հազար 60 միգրանտներ ու փախստականներ, միաժամանակ 620 մարդ զոհվել կամ անհետ կորել Է եվրոպական երկրներ հասնելու փորձ կատարելիս: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է«Արմենպրես»-ը, հայտնել են Միգրացիայի միջազգային կազմակերպությունում (ՄՄԿ):
ՄՄԿ-ի գնահատումներով՝ ուշադրության առնելով մարտի 31-ին Իտալիա լրացուցիչ թվով փախստականների ժամանման, ինչպես նաեւ մի քանի հարյուր այն մարդկանց վերաբերյալ չհաշվառված տվյալները, որոնք ժամանել են Իսպանիայի տարածով, Եվրոպա ժամանած միգրանտների ու փախստականների թիվն ընթացիկ տարվա առաջին եռամսյակում հասել Է 170 հազարի:
«Դա ավելի քան ութ անգամ ավելի Է այն միգրանտների ու փախստականների թվից, որոնք գրանցվել են 2015 թվականի առաջին երեք ամսվա ընթացքում (20 հազար 700 մարդ)»,-Ժնեւում կայացած ճեպազրույցում հայտարարել Է ՄՄԿ-ի պաշտոնական ներկայացուցիչ Ջոել Միլմանը: Այս տարվա հունվար-մարտին զոհվել եւ անհետ կորել Է 620 մարդ, ինչը 23 տոկոսով գերազանցում Է անցյալ տարվա համապատասխան ժամանակաշրջանի տվյալները (505), հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
