 Վաշինգտոնում մարտի 31-ին բացվում է միջուկային անվտանգության թվով չորրորդ գագաթնաժողովը, որին մասնակցում են 52 երկրների պատվիրակություններ: Այս անգամ գլխավոր թեման կդառնա միջուկային անվտանգության սպառնալիքին հակազդելը:

«Անցած մի քանի գագաթնաժողովների ընթացքում մենք մեր ուշադրությունը բեւեռել ենք միջուկային անվտանգության հիմնախնդրի, այն բանի վրա, թե մենք ինչպես ենք ապահովում միջուկային նյութերի պահպանությունը, դրանք պաշտպանում ահաբեկչական կազմակերպությունների ձեռքն ընկնելուց»,- ասել է ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահի ազգային անվտանգության հարցերով օգնականի տեղակալ Բեն Ռոդսը հատուկ ճեպազրույցի ժամանակ, որը նվիրված էր այդ համաժողովին:

«Մենք գիտենք, որ ահաբեկիչները կցանկանային ձեռք բերել նման նյութեր, ունենալ միջուկային սարք: Նման ցանկություն ուներ «Ալ Քաիդան» եւ, իհարկե, դա վերաբերում է ԴԱԻՇ-ին»,- նշել է Սպիտակ տան ներկայացուցիչը: Նրա խոսքով՝ այս գագաթնաժողովի ծրագիրը «ներառելու է հատուկ նստաշրջան, որի ընթացքում ղեկավարներն ուշադրությունը կկենտրոնացնեն այնպիսի խմբավորումների կողմից սպառնալիքի վրա, ինչպիսին ԴԱԻՇ-ն է»:

Համաժողովը տեղի է ունենալու մարտի 31-ից մինչեւ ապրիլի 1-ը: Դրա առաջին օրը ավելի շատ հանդիսավոր բնույթ կկրի՝ մասնակիցները կժամանեն Վաշինգտոն: Երեկոյան Սպիտակ տանը պատվիրակությունների ղեկավարների համար կտրվի ճաշկերույթ, որը կազմակերպում է Օբաման: Երկրորդ օրը կկայանան երեք լիագումար նիստեր:

Պլանավորվում է ստորագրել մի քանի համատեղ հայտարարություն, ինչպես նաեւ ստեղծել գագաթնաժողովի որոշումների իրականացման հսկողության փորձագետների աշխատանքային խումբ, հաղորդել է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
