ԱՄՆ-ի պաշտպանության նախարարությունը` Պենտագոնը անվտանգության նկատառումներով պարտավորեցրել է ամերիկյան զինծառայողներին լքել Թուրքիայի հարավային քրդաբնակ տարածաշրջանները:

Այս մասին հայտնել է ԱՄՆ-ի զինված ուժերի Եվրոպական հրամանատարությունը:

«Պաշտպանության նախարար Էշթոն Քարթերը ԱՄՆ-ի պետքարտուղար Ջոն Քերիի հետ խորհրդակցությունից հետո թուրքական Ադանա (նաեւ Ինջիռլիք ավիաբազա), Իզմիր եւ Մուղլա քաղաքներում ծառայող ամերիկյան զինվորականների ընտանիքներին պարտավորեցրել է վերադառնալ հայրենիք», -ասվում է փաստաթղթում:

Հրամանատարությունը պարզաբանել է, որ որոշումն ընդունվել է «տարածաշրջանում անվտանգության ոլորտում շարունակվող խնդիրների պատճառով, որը կոչված է կրճատել Պենտագոնի զինծառայողների, այդ թվում` նրանց ընտանիքների համար ռիսկերը` միաժամանակ ապահովելով ԱՄՆ-ի ԶՈւ անվտանգությունը»:

Հայտարարության մեջ ասվում է, որ հրամանը չի տարածվում բարձրագույն զինվորական ղեկավարության վրա: Հրամանատարությունում ընդգծել են, որ որոշումը չի նշանակում ամերիկացիների ընտանիքների գործուղման ավարտ:

«Մեր ընտանիքների վերադարձի մասին որոշումն ընդունվել է Պետքարտուղարության եւ ԱՄՆ-ի պաշտպանության նախարարի, ինչպես նաեւ Թուրքիայի կառավարության հետ խորհրդակցություններից հետո», -նշել է ԱՄՆ-ի Եվրոպական ուժերի գլխավոր հրամանատար Ֆիլիպ Բրիդլավը: Նա ընդգծել է «զինծառայողների ընտանիքներն անվտանգության մեջ պահելու» անհրաժեշտությունը:

 Թուրքական ուժային կառույցները Թուրքիայի արեւելյան եւ հարավարեւելյան քրդաբնակ շրջաններում պարբերաբար ռազմական գործողություններ են իրականացնում Քրդստանի աշխատավորական կուսակցության» ազատամարտիկների դեմ:
